BIRTH DATE: May 15, 1955 in Muleshoe, Texas, USA
BIRTH NAME: Lee Arthur Horsley
CLAIM TO FAME: Lee Horsley is an American film, television, and theater actor known for starring roles in the television series Nero Wolfe (1981), Matt Houston (1982-85), and Paradise (1988-91).
FAMILY LIFE: Horsley married Stephanie Downer in 1980. Together they have a daughter, Amber, and a son, Logan.
INFO: He grew up in the Denver, Colorado, area, sang in a church choir and graduated from Englewood High School in 1973.
Horsley began his acting career touring in stage productions of West Side Story, Damn Yankees, and Oklahoma!.
An expert horseman and outdoorsman, he has participated in rodeo events over the years.
He had an accident in which a horse fell over him, breaking some of his ribs and puncturing his spleen.
TRIVIA: Horsley is an outdoorsman, horseman, rodeo participant, and western novelist.
He appeared in the feature-length cult film The Sword and the Sorcerer in 1982, and appeared in its sequel Tales of an Ancient Empire in 2010.
He recorded the audiobook edition of Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove.
But "on a lark," Lee began writing western novels. He says, "I've got about five of them that are in very different shapes of completion... "It's just the kind of stuff that I grew up with. I used to love watching the guy in the end ride up to the hilltop, rear his horse and tip his hat and ride off."
In 2006, Horsley and Marshall R. Teague traveled the world in search of exotic game on the Outdoor Life Network for the reality show, Benelli's Dream Hunts.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW: Horsley's last film appearance was in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight in 2015. He still enjoys writing and doing voice over work. Maybe after a very successful television career Horsley has retired from acting, but there's always a chance that he'll make an appearance or perhaps a comeback to the screen if the right material peaks his interest.
