Howdy Folks,

Well, the Jethro Family Christmas tree is finally up in the ol' trailer. My Uncle Remus has a huge tree farm and lets us come on down there an chop, saw and cut down the tree of our choosin...for free. Free Trees are the best kind.

So we got us one of them Martin Balsam trees. It's nice and full and will look great covered in string popcorn, until I eat it all up. I ate an ornament last year, but that's a story for another time.

Anywho, I got the tree in the trailer and after a few minutes we noticed that it had itself a squirrel in it...and a possum...and a chipmunk...and a raccoon...and nest full of sparrows. our livin room turned into a danged pettin zoo! Those squirrels got my nuts!

After the all the clawin, and a bitin, and a peckin, the critters scurried off to the forest from wednesday they came.

We may have gotten the tree for free, but trust me, next year i'll be sure to shell out the three bucks for the shakin' and bailin'.
