Hello Everyone,

Having trees and bushes around your home not only makes your home look more welcoming, but it saves you big time on your energy costs. Tree lower surrounding temperatures by as much as 9% in the summer. They can reduce your A/C bill a full 20%, according to California Energy Commission. And thick shrubs or bushes near windows block cold air and heavy strong winds in the winter, which will cut your eating costs.

Hint 1: I know I've ran this hint before, but wanted to share it again. I use this handy hint all the time when I cook, and it does save me on clean-up time.

While cooking on the stove if some of your food bubbles over when cooking, sprinkle salt on the mess while it's still hot. By doing this you'll be able to wipe them up quickly when it cools instead of fighting to scrub the hardened mess.

Hint 2: I love trying to save money not only my groceries and clothes, but also on my utilities..

Draw the shades or blinds to block the thermal heat of the sun through your windows. This will help keep you cooler, so you won't need to use your fan or air conditioner, which will save you money on your electric bill.
