Teen Dora tries to rescue parents in 'Lost City of Gold' trailer

Teen Dora tries to rescue parents in 'Lost City of Gold' trailerParamount has released the first trailer for its upcoming movie, Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

The 2 1/2-minute preview has gotten nearly 3 million views on YouTube since it was posted Saturday.

James Bobin directed the live-action and animated adventure, which is based on Nickelodeon's popular, preschool cartoon series Dora the Explorer.

Starring Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Pena, Eva Longoria, Adriana Barraza, Temuera Morrison, Jeff Wahlberg, Nicholas Coombe, Madeleine Madden and Danny Trejo, the movie is set for theatrical release on Aug. 2.

"Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure ever -- high school. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots, her best friend, a monkey; her cousin Diego; a mysterious jungle inhabitant; and a rag-tag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost city of gold."

The clip shows Dora's parents sending her off to start high school in a city while they go on an expedition without her. While on a trip at a museum, Dora and her new classmates get kidnapped by men who want Dora to help them find her mom and dad and, hopefully, the treasure they are all seeking. They are then transported to the jungle, but rescued by someone else who says he works with Dora's parents.

The group is seen trapped in a log, rolling down a hill; caught up in waterfalls; swimming in caves; walking under giant flowers; and riding in sport utility vehicles.

Season 15 will be the last for 'Supernatural'

The stars of Supernatural posted a video on social media Friday announcing the upcoming 15th season will be The CW show's last.

"Hey #SPNFamily here's a little message from @JensenAckles @mishacollins and me. I'm so grateful for the family that's been built because of the show. Excuse me while i go cry," Jared Padalecki tweeted, along with the clip which shows him, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins revealing that the series is wrapping up after more than a decade on the air.

"Well, it's official. One more round for the Winchester brothers. Though nothing ever really ends in Supernatural...does it?" Ackles captioned the video on Instagram and Twitter.

Collins said on Twitter: "It's been a hell of a run, and we couldn't be more grateful for all of it. No matter what, we'll always all be #SPNFamily."

The show is about three brothers -- played by Padalcki, Ackles and Collins -- who travel the country hunting supernatural creatures. The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the recurring role of their father in the series, which was renewed last month for the 2019-20 broadcast season.

"I actually met JAY-Z in person. He wasn't with Beyonce at the time, and I wasn't dating anybody. When I met him, you do get, like, hit with the charm ... I found myself, strangely, asking for gum ... I actually was attracted to him in the moment."
--Tamera Mowry-Housley, setting off the Beyhive by admitting she was struck by JAY-Z's charm when she met him nearly 20 years ago at a movie premiere, on The Real

Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd reunite with 'Clueless' co-stars

ATV 2018Clueless co-stars Alicia Silverstone, Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison posted photos on social media after reuniting Saturday at a pop-culture convention in Chicago.

"So much fun hanging out with these boys today #paulrudd @donald_faison and @breckinmeyer! Such a great day at #c2e2," Silverstone captioned a group portrait of her with Meyer, Faison and their cast-mate Paul Rudd, who is not on social media.

"We. Have. No. Clue," quipped Meyer when he posted the same image on Instagram.

"Rollin' with the homies... #clueless #PaulRudd," Faison captioned his Instagram post.

Silverstone also shared on Twitter a picture of her and Rudd, smiling with their cheeks pressed together.

"Such a sweet reunion with my pal Paul Rudd. I love this guy!" she wrote.

The stars played love interests Cher and Josh in the 1995 movie, which was a loose, then-contemporary adaptation of Jane Austen's 1815 novel, Emma. Meyer and Faison played Travis and Murray -- the boyfriends of Cher's best friends Tai and Dionne, played by Brittany Murphy and Stacey Dash.

The romantic comedy followed a group of wealthy teens navigating life and love in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Murphy died of pneumonia in 2009. She was 32.

"I loved playing Cher," UsMagazine.com reported Silverstone told the audience at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo on Saturday. "It was such a fun character and working with these guys -- every one of them was so much fun ... I didn't know who that girl was, so it was really fun to be her. Because it wasn't how I lived my life."

ABC renews 'The Conners' for second season

ABC has renewed Roseanne spinoff The Conners for a second season.

Series stars and Roseanne veterans John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene) and Lecy Goranson (Becky) are set to return. ABC says additional cast members will be announced at a later date.

Michael Fishman, who portrays D.J., is expected to appear in some of the episodes. The spinoff also stars Ames McNamara, Emma Kenney, Maya Lynne Robinson and Jayden Rey.

The Conners was ordered by ABC following the cancellation of the Roseanne revival in May. The series was canceled after series lead Roseanne Barr posted a racist tweet aimed at former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett.

"We are proud to be continuing the story of the iconic Conner family," ABC entertainment president Karey Burke said in a statement. "This team is fearless in their willingness to tackle contemporary issues with humor and heart, and I have no doubt they will continue to outdo themselves."

Which key characters were killed as 'Walking Dead' Season 9 winds down?

The Season 9 body count continued to grow on The Walking Dead Sunday, with the deaths of several beloved characters.

Earlier in the season, fan-favorites Maggie, Rick and Jesus -- played by Lauren Cohan, Andrew Lincoln and Tom Payne -- exited the zombie-apocalypse drama.

The injured Rick was mysteriously rescued and squired away in a helicopter to parts unknown. He is presumed dead by his family and friends.

After the six-year time jump in the midst of Season 9, Jesus was killed by the Whisperers, who disguise themselves with rotting flesh and travel with packs of the undead.

Maggie has been off-screen, visiting communities in far-flung locales.

Warning: spoilers ahead!

Sunday's episode saw the show's remaining survivors and central communities coming together for a fair where old friends could reconnect, learn new skills, and buy and sell their wares.

Whisperer leader Alpha (Samantha Morton) and her followers infiltrated the festive event and murdered numerous people as a warning to the other communities not to stray into Whisperer territory.

They then impaled the victims' heads on stakes to mark a horrifying border.

Slain in the episode were Tara (Alanna Masterson,) Enid (Katelyn Nacon,) Henry (Matt Lintz) and

Tammy Rose (Brett Butler,) plus several teenagers and members of the protective Highwaymen.

Siddiq (Avi Nash) was beaten and tied to a nearby tree, but left alive to tell the tale.

He eulogized the dead at the end of the episode, recalling how bravely everyone fought together to the bitter end.

The Season 9 finale is to air on March 31.
