'Captain Marvel': Brie Larson becomes a 'warrior hero' in new trailer

'Captain Marvel': Brie Larson becomes a 'warrior hero' in new trailerBrie Larson enters into a galactic conflict in the latest trailer for Marvel's next comic book epic, Captain Marvel.

The clip, released Monday, explores Captain Marvel's origins and how she was recruited and given powers by an alien race of noble warrior heroes known as the Kree following a crash landing in a fighter jet.

Captain Marvel, after returning to earth and working with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, continues to have flashbacks about her former life.

The titular hero then finds herself having to protect earth from the Skrulls, a villainous alien race who is at war with the Kree and who can disguise themselves as ordinary people. Captain Marvel leaps into action and battles a Kree disguised as an old woman on a train.

"I'm not going to fight your war, I'm gonna end it," she says before powering up and flying into space to destroy a number of spacecrafts.

Captain Marvel, from directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, is set to arrive in theaters on March 8. Jude Law, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening and Ben Mendelsohn -- as the film's villain -- also star. Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace will be featured, reprising their villainous roles from Guardians of the Galaxy.

A new poster for the film was released on Sunday featuring a powered-up Captain Marvel standing heroically.

Actor and comedian Eddie Murphy is a dad of 10.

Murphy and Butcher are also parents to 2-year-old daughter Izzy Oona. The couple announced in August they were expecting another child.

"They live a pretty low-key life. They are all about family," a source told People the same month.

"Paige loves being a mom and is very involved. She takes her daughter to the park and for play dates," the insider added.

Which jack of all trades apologized for using his phone during the Cher Broadway show?

Kanye West apologized on Twitter for using his phone during a performance of The Cher Show, a Broadway musical about the singer's life and career.

West's apology came after he was called out on the social media site for using his phone by actor Jarrod Spector who portrays Sonny Bono in the show.

The rapper attended the official opening of The Cher Show at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York on Monday alongside his wife Kim Kardashian, a noted Cher fan.

"Hey @kanyewest so cool that you're here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you'll see we're doing a show up here. It's opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much," Spector said.

"The dynamics of Cher and Sonny's relationship made Kim and I grab each other's hand and sing 'I got you babe,'" West said in response to Spector. "Please pardon my lack of etiquette. We have so much appreciation for the energy you guys put into making this master piece."

Kardashian also praised the musical on Twitter. "The Cher Show was sooooo good! I learned so much about her that I didn't know. She really opened up about her life and all of the actors were sooo good! You all have to check it when in NYC. We had the best time!" she said.

Cher was recently among this year's recipients at the 41st annual Kennedy Center Honors Gala in Washington, D.C.
