Greetings fellow Bizarros:

Now here is a cause I can get behind (or in front of)! Women who believe it's unfair that men can take off their shirts while they can't will bare their breasts at a demonstration for the right to go topless.

The demonstration is planned for the weekend in a downtown park in Asheville, N.C.

An Asheville Police spokesman says bared breasts won't violate state law since indecent exposure bans uncovered body parts below the waist.

Asheville protest organizer Livienne Love says the goal is raising awareness about gender inequality and pushing back against the social stigma that makes women uncomfortable to go topless. Women are asked to go topless and men to wear bras or bikini tops.

More than a dozen U.S. cities are part of the protest. So if you are a champion of women's rights, and I'm talking to you, Patty in the reader comments below, get out there and show the world those twins!

Bizarrely,
Lewis

*-- Neighbors call for skunk action plan --*

JOLIET, Ill. - Residents of an Illinois neighborhood said they want their city to take action to curb the population of skunks in their area. Neighbors in the Bryan Avenue area of Joliet said the skunk population has been steadily growing during the past few summers and the smell has become a major problem, The (Joliet) Herald-News reported Monday. Doreen and Bob Swanson described the problem to the Joliet City Council last week as an epidemic and called on officials to create an action plan for the skunk infestation. The Swansons said they rented two traps from the Joliet Township Animal Control Center and have caught four of the animals during the past two weeks. Bryan Jones, an animal control officer for Joliet Township, said he picks up an average of three skunks per day, but he doesn't seem to be making a dent in the population.

*-- Man creates 3D printer from Lego parts --*

SAO CAETANO DO SUL, Brazil - A designer for Brazilian company Zoom Education for Life has created a 3D printer, which carves shapes from foam, made almost entirely from Lego components. Arthur Sacek said his milling machine utilizes parts from the Lego Mindstorms NXT robotic toolkit and includes only a single non-Lego part, the drill to carve the foam into 3D shapes, Tecca reported Tuesday. Sacek, who created the machine for Zoom Education for Life, which partners with Lego Education to create learning solutions, said he is planning a YouTube video to show the public how they can create their own 3D printers from NXT kits, which start at about $250. The designer said he is working on hooking the printer up to computers and altering it to handle materials other than floral foam.

Lewis, you would think after all these years I would have noticed how sexist you are!! So EVERY woman on the Earth 'hovers' over toilet seats. I didn't think there was anything that EVERY woman does and more to the point, that every last one of them felt it was necessary to mention that fact to you. So I'm curious Lewis, did these women write you to tell you they hover or did every woman in the world invite you over for tea and a tinkle? -Patty
[I do get a LOT of email from women.]

Lewis, I'd like to tell Wes he was lucky to attract only perch on his nude swim. I was swimming one day when I was a kid and got bit in the ankle by a foot long carp. I ended getting a tetanus shot! He would have had some fancy explaining to do then! -Patti

That is one lucky idiot that he didn't break into my house. I sleep with a hair trigger rat terrier alarm system, a Taurus 3" .410 revolver and an auto 12 gauge beside the bed with 5 rounds of #1 buckshot in it. He would be sausage if he did. -Mark
[I hope for your sake you don't roll around a lot in your sleep.]

Lewis, wish I was there to witness this story (with a camera, of course!) -Steve "A CANADIAN woman has sparked controversy after settling a neighbourhood noise dispute by flashing her breasts at a five-year-old boy. Marika De Florio, 56, said the boy was driving her mad by driving a loud all-terrain vehicle past her house. She decided to go topless in the street so that the boy's grandparents would be forced to call him inside. The raunchy tactic did the trick but horrified Mike and Nancy Berry, who called the police to report her."
[Here is a prime candidate for "Go Topless" day.]
