Bizarre News - March 8, 2014

Greetings fellow Bizarros:

Life is cheap in Wisconsin. As cheap as a thousand bucks and a decent lay. At least that is what one woman was willing to offer for the death of her fiance.

Thirty-three-year-old Jessica Strom of Merrill appeared in court charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree intentional homicide in a bizarre sting operation.

According to court records, Strom allegedly tried to arrange the murder through a friend she had known while taking criminal justice classes, because where else would you to to recruit a hitman?

That person contacted police, who set up a sting operation in which Strom allegedly laid out plans to kill her "on again/off again boyfriend," court documents say.

Strom allegedly offered her former classmate $1,000 and sex in exchange for the murder.

Strom remains behind bars on a $250,000 cash bond. She'll have to sleep with a lot of men in order to equal that amount.

Bizarrely,
Lewis

*-- Police: Fortune teller claimed cure for 'curse' for $200,000 scam --*

NEW YORK - New York police arrested a fortune teller accused of scamming a woman out of more than $200,000 with claims of a curse that needed to be lifted. Investigators said Amanda Ufie, 26, a fortune teller operating out of a Manhattan storefront, convinced Jiawei Li, 22, that she was suffering from a curse in January 2012, and Li paid Ufie $217,040 in the ensuing 10 months to lift the curse, the New York Post reported Thursday. Police said their investigation, which began when Li filed a complaint against Ufie in January, discovered a "second individual" had been bilked of $1,400 when Ufie claimed "to have the power to remove negative energy from the second individual's body," the criminal complaint states. Ufie, aka Amanda Petro, was arrested Tuesday and charged with grand larceny and scheme to defraud. She was held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

*-- Police: Man had sex with pit bull in his yard --*

TAMPA, Fla. - Police in Florida said they arrested a man who allegedly engaged in a sex act with a dog in his yard in full view of shocked neighbors. Tampa police said witnesses flagged down officers early Wednesday and told them Bernard Marsonek, 57, was committing a sex act with a pit bull in his yard and ignoring the pleas of neighbors begging him to stop, the Tampa Tribune reported Thursday. Police said Marsonek was inside his house when officers arrived to question him. Officers and Hillsborough County Animal Services executed a search warrant on the home and discovered a gun and ammunition inside the house. Marsonek was arrested on felony charges of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of sexual activity involving animals. Animal services officials seized eight pit bulls from Marsonek's home, police said.

Lewis, have you ever wondered just WHERE in the Constitution does it allow the federal government to tax YOU & ME? The answer: IT DOESN'T! All taxes are to be apportioned to the STATES and they are then to collect from their citizens. Until/Unless we learn what the government is doing WRONG we will never work to get our country back! -Bill Keen
[The 16th Amendment allows Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states. However there has been some research done which indicates that not enough states ratified the amendment in 1913 in order to make it a law. But if you don't want to pay your income taxes based upon that you can try and see how far you get. Personally I would love it if a movement got started to not pay taxes. I think I would join in.]

Lewis; Did you know that 69 percent of statistics are made up on the spot?
[That sounds made up.]

Lewis - do you have the staff there at Bizarre News writing out comments for you again?
[Staff? Who do you think we are, the Chicago Tribune? There is one assistant editor for me and all the other editors in the office. He also makes coffee, sorts mail and provides chair massages.]

You would think an "art director for Starz Entertainment Group" would know the difference between your and you're: "...when you're kids are screaming..." Or is that your mistake, Lewis?
[I don't make mistakes like that. Any 'perceived' mistake is subtle sarcasm on my part.]

Lewis, Soon after "YOUR" Carpet munching Ex- Head of the Department of Home Land Security took office as the Governor of Arizona, she had All Antiquated Sex Laws in the Sate declared null and void. Munch to her and others like herself and others like her. One of the laws that were included was one about a person having Sex with Animals. I do not know if that one was reinstated or not. So had they done that here, trespassing just may have been the only Law broken. Oh, Yes if you have a Firearm why are you so against them? I do enjoy your articles. Thank You, John
[It's only animal "abuse" if the cow didn't like it, right? And when did I say I was against firearms?]
