Greetings fellow Bizarros:Alcohol is a tricky thing. You have just enough and you are the life of the party, engaging in witty repartee, winning friends and charming the pants off of your romantic interest. Too much and you are breaking into strangers' houses and attempting to breast-feed their children.
Just ask Rebecca Silva.
After a night of drinking the 24-year-old apparently broke into a stranger's home and tried to breast feed a two-month-old child. The shocked mother was awoken by dogs and called 911.
The child's mother was able to safely take her daughter away, but that didn't keep Silva from making herself at home, crawling into bed and passing out.
When police arrived Silva was arrested and charged with unlawful occupancy. She denied the allegations, claiming she never tried to feed the infant and that she had been invited into the home, since she had met the mother the night before. Which sounds perfectly reasonable if you are 15 beers in.
The whole story makes a lot more sense when we find out that it happened in South Dakota where apparently the only thing that numbs the boredom are legendary amounts of alcohol and committing misdemeanors.
Bizarrely,

MyBizarreNews*-- 102-year-old man still working as valet --*NEW YORK - A New York man marked his 102nd birthday surrounded by friends in the neighborhood where he has worked as a valet for 25 years. Joe Binder, valet at Mario's Restaurant on Arthur Avenue, said his long life might be a result of being "very nice to people" -- and not having any children may be "one of the reasons I've stayed stress-free," the New York Post reported Monday. "I still drive locally and I just renewed my license so I'm good until I turn 110 years old," Binder said. Binder, whose birthday was celebrated by his Arthur Avenue neighbors Sunday with a huge banner stretched across the street, said he was lucky to have made so many friends during his years working for Mario's. "Sometimes I think I'm dreaming when I think of how many people love and care for me here on Arthur Avenue," he said. Binder said his 48-year-old girlfriend helps keep him young. "There's no sex involved, just companionship," he said, listing dancing as one of their most frequent activities.
*-- Man forgets granddaughter in car trunk --*DUSSELDORF, Germany - German police said a 72-year-old man who allowed his 9-year-old granddaughter to ride in the trunk of his car forgot she was there and went for a walk. The man told police his granddaughter had asked to ride in the trunk of his car on the way to Sorpe Lake in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and when he arrived at the lake he was so distracted by the scenery that he forgot she was in the vehicle and went for a walk, The Local reported Tuesday. A police spokesman said passersby heard the girl pounding and calling for help from inside the trunk and summoned officers, who were able to open the trunk with the help of firefighters. The spokesman said the grandfather was "visibly affected by the whole situation" when he returned to the car and realized what had happened. The man was given a warning and promised not to let anyone ride in his trunk in the future.
*-- READER COMMENTS --*The explanation is simple. Disorders like Autism or ADHD are more prevalent today due to the fact that many more Dr are diagnosing it due to the fact that schools get more money for kids with these disorders. The link between vaccines and Autism or ADHD was found on fake data. -john

There is some credibility to this line of thinking. I did a story in BN last year about new guidelines that were created for reporting racism in British schools. And what do you know, the very next year the instances of racism went up several thousand percent, even among pre-schoolers.]
Hi Lewis! I live in Washington state. One of my son's high school classes took a field trip to Canada. The students all had to have enhanced i.d. or a passport to make the trip. That was to make sure that the students could get back into their own country. When the Canadian border patrol saw the school vans full of teenagers, they waved the vans on through. No questions asked. This is even more interesting because my son was taken aside and patted down before a plane trip across the state when he was only 7 years old. Three guys in Canada got naked and went through a car wash in a grocery cart. The Canadian police just let them off with a warning. A woman in the US who called 911 to complain about a burger was taken into custody and held until she posted $1,500 bail. There's a country in North America that claims to be "the land of the free". It's Canada, isn't it? Or is it Mexico? -Jody

This is symptomatic of a cultural change in our perception of what privacy is. Americans almost expect to be surveilled in this age of pervasive and invasive technology, and the powers that be are taking advantage of it. Once you give an inch to the government you'll never get it back.]
I find it so odd that she could get arrested for DUI when the police did not witness it, she was at home, yet if you tell the police that someone beat or hit you they won't arrest them because they didn't see it happen. You have to file charges at the DA's office instead unless it is domestic violence. That's even if the person assaulting you is a relative other than husband or domestic partner. The police didn't see her driving, the police didn't see you get hit. What's the difference? -Catt

Because SHE admitted to the police that SHE was driving. Any lawyer will tell you to never talk to the police about anything...particularly something involving yourself. Why? Because anything you say can and WILL be used against you. What she made was an admission. Telling the police someone else did something (like hit you) is an accusation. Of course, most people aren't trying to get laid while talking to an officer.]
