Hello Neighbor!
|
I cleaned out my medicine cabinet last week and found four empty pill bottles I could not bring myself to just throw away.
One of my nieces was packing for a weekend trip and dumping her earrings loose into the bottom of her makeup bag, so I handed her one instead.
By the time she got to the hotel, nothing was tangled or missing. Below is how I use mine now.

Give An Empty Pill Bottle A Second Job
A clean, empty pill bottle with a snap on lid is a free travel case for anything small that usually gets lost in the bottom of a bag.
How To Do It
- Peel off the label and wash the bottle and cap well.
- Drop in earrings, rings, or a bracelet before you pack.
- Snap the lid shut, the tight seal keeps everything from spilling loose.
- Toss it in your purse, gym bag, or carry on without a second thought.
More Ways To Use It
- Fill one with a few buttons and a length of thread for a mini travel sewing kit.
- Keep one filled with quarters in the car for parking meters and laundry.

ASK THE GENIUS
"Is it safe to reuse a pill bottle instead of just tossing it?"
Yes, once the label is off and it is washed out, an empty pill bottle is just hard plastic. Just do not reuse it to store new medication, only jewelry, pins, buttons, or other small non food items.

DID YOU KNOW?
The TSA's 3-1-1 rule caps each carry-on liquid container at 3.4 ounces.
A washed out pill bottle is already well under that size, so it doubles as a free travel container for lotion or hand sanitizer too.
