Hi Friends,
There is a certain kind of recipe title that makes me open the email immediately. This week it was one word doing all the work: "Sinful."
This was one of the first recipe's of Marzee's I ever tried. I will admit I was skeptical. Four ingredients, a baking dish, done. That is not usually how "sinful" recipes go.
One reviewer said flat out that it beats her stroganoff, and that is a bold claim I had to test for myself. That was back in 2006 and this has been something I make often!
The sour cream bakes into this thick, tangy, almost cheesecake-like coating over the chicken, and it tastes like it took a lot more effort than it did. This is a Tuesday night dinner that eats like a Sunday one.
Happy Cooking,

Does whipping the sauce really matter, or am I just making dishes?
I tested this both ways, stirred by hand and whipped, and the whipped version came out smoother every single time, no streaks of garlic or paprika sitting in one spot.
A lumpy sour cream mixture bakes unevenly, some bites bland, some bites overloaded with seasoning. I started whipping mine with the
BlendMix Cordless Mini Hand Mixer and Beater, and it turns a 2-minute stir into a 20-second job. It is cordless, USB-C rechargeable, has three speed settings, and the beater and whisk attachments are both dishwasher safe.
Deal Alert: it's normally $39.99, but it's marked down to $11.99 right now.

My arm thanks me every time I reach for this instead of a whisk!
Anisa's Kitchen Hack:
Whip the sour cream mixture until it's completely smooth before it goes on the chicken, a lumpy sauce bakes unevenly.
Marinate the chicken in the sour cream mixture for an hour, or overnight, before baking for deeper flavor.
