I think most of us have a shopping routine. Maybe Saturday is your grocery day. Maybe you grab things after work on Thursday. Or maybe you shop whenever you remember you need something!
But here's something I recently started paying more attention to: the day of the week you shop can actually affect the deals you find.
Retailers don't put everything on sale at random. New promotions start, old ones end, clearance gets marked down, and stores make room for new inventory throughout the week.
That means your usual shopping day might not be your best shopping day.
So I did a little digging into the weekly shopping cycle, and there are a few days worth putting on your deal-hunting radar.

Tuesday: Start Hunting for Grocery Deals
Tuesday can be a good day to shop for groceries because many stores have just started their weekly promotions. You may also find markdowns on meat, bakery items and produce as stores make room for new inventory.
Thrifty Tip: Check your store's weekly ad before you go. If a sale just started, Tuesday can be a great time to find the items before the shelves get picked over.
Wednesday: The "Sweet Spot" Shopping Day
Wednesday may be one of the most interesting days of the week for bargain hunters. Many stores begin new weekly promotions on Wednesday, while some previous promotions are still running.
That can mean two sets of deals at once.
It's also a good day to check grocery clearance sections and look for manager markdowns.
Thrifty Tip: Wednesday is a great day to compare your shopping list against both the new weekly ad and your store's clearance section.
Thursday: Go Clearance Hunting
If you're shopping for clothes, shoes, home goods or seasonal merchandise, Thursday is worth checking.
Stores want to make room for new inventory, and clearance items can sometimes receive additional markdowns as the weekend approaches.
Thrifty Tip: Don't just look at the main displays. Walk through the clearance section and check the back corners of the store. That's where some of the biggest bargains can hide.
Sunday: Shop Carefully
Sunday may be convenient, but convenience isn't always the same thing as savings.
It's one of the busiest shopping days, and popular sale items may already be gone. It's also easier to make impulse purchases when you're doing a big weekend shopping trip.
The bottom line: The best day to shop depends on what you're buying, but paying attention to your store's weekly sales cycle can give you an advantage.
Before you shop, check the weekly ad, clearance section and store app. You may discover that changing your shopping day by just 24 hours can change the deals you find.

Saving money isn't always about finding another coupon or driving across town for a cheaper price. Sometimes it's about knowing when to walk through the door.
Try shopping on a different day this week and see what you find. You might discover that your new favorite shopping strategy is simply changing the calendar.
