No Spend Challenge
Pick one day of the week where you spend absolutely no money. No takeout, no online shopping, no convenience store runs. Use what you have on hand at home and turn it into a challenge.

Many people are surprised how much they save just by cutting out impulse purchases one or two days a week.

Turn Leftovers Into 'Kitchen Creativity Night'
Instead of tossing random leftovers out, challenge you and your family to turn them into a new meal. Leftover chicken becomes tacos, vegetables become a stir fry or soup, and stale bread becomes croutons for a salad, or garlic toast.

Use Cash For Fun Spending
Set a weekly cash budget for coffee, snacks, takeout, or entertainment. Once the cash is gone, that is it for the week. It's a simple and easy trick to implement that makes spending feel more real and helps curb extra spending.

Start A Change Jar
It sounds old-fashioned, but tossing spare change into a jar adds up quickly. I actually do this and cash it in at the bank twice a year, and each cash in gives me about $200-$300 in extra funds.
