Greetings!
I don't know about you, but I love finding simple little tricks that make life easier, especially when they save a few dollars, too. The best tips are usually the ones hiding in plain sight… using things we already have around the house in smarter ways.
Here are a few of my favorites this week!

Handy Hint: Rubber Bands To The Rescue
Use a rubber band for extra grip. Wrap a thick rubber band around the lid of a stubborn jar to create traction and make it much easier to twist open. You can also use a rubber band to keep cutting boards from slipping. Just wrap one around each end for added stability while chopping.
Thrifty Tip: Dryer Sheets: Dual Usage
Before you toss those used dryer sheets, put them to work! They're great for dusting baseboards, wiping down blinds, or freshening up gym bags and shoes. One sheet can usually handle several small jobs before it's done.
Thrifty Tip: Pickle Juice + Meat
Don't throw away pickle juice! It makes a fantastic meat tenderizer and marinade base. You can also use it to quick-pickle sliced onions or cucumbers. Just refrigerate for a few hours and enjoy a tangy topping without spending extra at the store.
