Greetings!
Buying new clothes is fun, but not needing to buy new clothes is even better.
Most clothes don't wear out, they are washed and dried to death. A few small habit changes can add years to your favorite pieces and keep your wardrobe looking fresh without spending a dime.
Let's get to it.

Wash Less Than You Think
Every wash cycle causes friction, fiber breakdown, color fading, and stretching. Over time, that is what makes clothes look tired long before they should. The good news? You can dramatically extend the life of your wardrobe just by washing less, and washing smarter.
What Actually Needs Washing...and What Doesn't
Jeans: 3-6 wears (or more if they are visibly dirty)
Sweaters: 4 - 6 wears with a layer underneath
Jackets & Hoodies: Spot clean and only wash when needed
Dress pants & Skirts: Several wears if aired out between uses
You will want to wash your socks, underwear, workout clothes, or anything worn directly against sweaty skin you should be washing after
each use.
How To Spot Clean Instead of Doing Full Washes
For small spills or marks, throwing it into a full wash cycle is overkill, and one of the fastest ways to shorten its lifespan.
1. Start with a damp cloth: use cool water and a soft cloth or sponge. Hot water can set stains and damage delicate fibers.
2. Add a drop of mild soap
3. Blot, do not scrub. Press gently to lift the stain. Scrubbing spreads it, and weakens fibers which causes fading especially on dark fabrics.
4. Rinse lightly. Use a clean damp cloth to remove soap residue.
5. Air dry completely by hanging or laying flat.
Spot Cleaning Different Fabrics
Cotton is easy to spot clean. Just avoid harsh rubbing
Denim you will want to blot inside and out to prevent water rings
Sweaters should be laid flat to reshape while drying
Silk or Wool, you will want to use cold water only. Test on a hidden spot first.
