When it comes to breakfast, everyone has an opinion. Some swear by a quick cup of coffee and a pastry, while others make a full spread of eggs, fruit, and toast. But what really makes a breakfast healthy? I've learned that the best breakfast isn't about following a
strict rulebook; it's about fueling your body with the right mix of nutrients so you feel energized and satisfied all morning.
Let's start with
protein. It's the backbone of a healthy breakfast because it keeps you full and prevents those midmorning crashes. Eggs are a classic choice for a reason; they're rich in high-quality protein and contain important nutrients like vitamin D and choline. Next, let's talk about
