Today's Recipe: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 4 large eggs, divided
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix well. The batter will be stiff. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
3. In a separate bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, cream cheese, and the remaining 2 eggs. Mix until smooth and pour over the cake batter.
4. Bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
5. Let cake cool completely before cutting to preserve the gooey layers.

Do you like yours extra gooey in the center or a bit firmer? I would love to hear how you serve this buttery favorite.
Extra Ingredients: A Handy Kitchen Tip
Spray the back of your spatula with cooking spray before spreading the batter. It makes the process much easier and keeps the layers smooth without sticking.
