Greetings!
I love shopping at both Costco and Sam's Club. They're filled with deals, but there are definitely some pitfalls too.
Today we're looking at a few things to watch out for and a handful of tips to help you get the most bang for your buck.
Be Well,

The Mini Vacuum arrived in consumer packaging instead of retail, so we got it below cost—now you can too!
Grab yours before we sell out!1. Let's Start With The Cost Of Membership
Both Sam's Club and Costco regularly run promotions on their memberships. You can often find them on Groupon.
If you're a teacher, student, first responder, military member, or part of another qualifying group, ask at the front desk. There's usually a discount available.
Also, when you sign up for their credit card, you may get a statement credit that helps cover the membership cost.
2. Don't Assume Everything Is Cheaper
Just because it's sold in bulk doesn't always mean it's a better deal. Be sure to compare unit prices. Sometimes your local grocery store still wins.
3. Embrace Store Brand Products
Costco's Kirkland and Sam's Club's Member's Mark brands offer great quality at a lower price. In many cases, they match or outperform national brands.
4. Utilize the Scan & Go App (Sam's Club Only)
Skip the checkout line by scanning items as you shop and paying right on your phone.
If you use the Sam's Club credit card, there are often extra savings or cash back rewards too.
5. Be Cautious with Bulk Perishables

Buying perishables in bulk only makes sense if you'll use them before they spoil. Freeze items like bread, cheese, or butter to prevent waste.
6. Avoid Impulse Purchases
It's easy to walk in for peanut butter and come out with a kayak! Stick to your shopping list and budget, and try not to get distracted by flashy displays or free samples.
7. Check Out Discounted Gift Cards
Both stores often sell gift cards at less than face value. It's a simple way to get instant savings.
I stock up when Sam's Club offers Southwest Airlines cards. You can get $500 in airfare for $425. Even when there's no promotion, the savings can add up. Just don't lose the cards!
In Closing...
Smart shopping at a warehouse club isn't just about buying in bulk, it's about buying wisely. By staying informed and strategic, you can make the most of your membership and keep more money in your pocket.

Featured Freebie: Go Hungry To Costco and Sam's Club
It may sound funny, but there are so many samples to taste you can actually make a meal of it. I can't tell you how many times I've done this and by the time I'm done, I'm not hungry!
The pitfall is you might like the item so much you buy it. Which if you are sticking to your shopping list is a negative.
