Super Bowl Fudgy Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips (optional, but highly recommended!)
Toppings (optional): Whipped cream, chopped nuts, sprinkles, or mini M&Ms for a fun Super Bowl twist.
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or on the stove. Once melted, allow it to cool slightly.
Whisk together the sugars in a large bowl. Add in the melted butter and stir until combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. In another bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder). Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips (if using), or you can also stir in M&Ms or chopped nuts for extra texture. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). Be careful not to overbake – you want them to be fudgy!
Cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve!
Super Bowl Twist Ideas:
Football Decorating: Use frosting or melted white chocolate to draw football laces on the top of each brownie. You can also sprinkle green edible glitter or use colored frosting to create a "field."
Team Spirit: Top each brownie with mini M&Ms or sprinkles in your team colors for a personalized touch.
