TURKEY CRESCENT RING
INGREDIENTS:
2 9-ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup cooked mashed potatoes
1 cup stuffing
2 cups diced, cooked turkey, chopped
1/4 cup cranberry sauce
Freshly chopped parsley
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 375 degrees spray a large baking sheet lightly with cooking spray. Place a small bowl or saucer about 5" in the center of the sheet as a guide for your ring. Separate dough into 16 triangles. Looking down from above lay 4 of the triangles flat side touching the bowl and point facing out to 12-oclock position, 3-oclock, 6 oclock, then 9 oclock. Add 4 more triangles placed between each of the first to form a complete circle. Continue laying rest of the triangles alternating evenly around the ring until all placed. Remove the bowl and press down on dough slightly to seal. You should have a ring that resembles a sun.
Heat the potatoes and stuffing slightly so they are easier to spread. Spread the mashed potatoes first evenly around the bases of triangles all around the complete ring. Add the stuffing layer evenly over the top of the potatoes. Layer the turkey evenly on top of the stuffing. Place dollops of cranberry sauce around the circle over the turkey and gently spread. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
Fold each triangle tip up over the filling towards the center and tuck gently under the center to secure it. Repeat with each roll until the ring is complete. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow the turkey ring to cool 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve it with gravy for dipping.
