Good Morning,

AllProducts2Acne must be the most disheartening skin condition of all. It arrives at puberty, when everything else is going haywire, and for the teens the misery is compounded by suffering teasing among one's peers. Some people suffer from acne during their adult lives, along with secondary scarring.

Not long ago, acne was believed to be the result of out-of-control oil glands combined with a failure to keep the face clean. Acne medications were harsh and often relied on eradicating the oil in the skin by use of alcohol which is hardly a solution to the problem. We also know that it's possible to have acne and dry, irritated skin too. The best acne medicines are formulated to soothe the skin while providing acne-fighting medicine.

Regards,
Steve

Acne Skin Care Solutions for All Ages

Along with prescribed meds which many people are hesitant using, there are new natural home remedy approaches to acne control. One of the new herbal antibiotics is tea tree oil.

An extract from the Australian tea tree, it combines anti-fungal and antibiotic properties with a soothing and warming feel. The smell is something like eucalyptus--very strong. Tea tree oilcan be applied directly to pimples, zits, insect bites, stings, burns, itches and other minor skin irritations. It is also effective in controlling dandruff and can be used to fight athlete's foot. Tea tree oil is sort of a medicine cabinet in itself.

Creating a homemade mask of avocado is another natural way to soothe dry skin which can cause blotchy skin. Try pureeing half an avocado and mixing it with a teaspoon of olive oil; you can also add a tablespoon (tbsp) of honey for very dry skin. Apply the mask to your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then wash it off. Your skin should feel moisturized, but you can double up on the hydrating effects by applying your regular moisturizer as well.

If you experience acne or other skin imperfections, exfoliation is SO important! Fruit enzymes can be lifesavers during dry-skin season. These are great for gently exfoliating the superficial layer of dulling dead skin cells on the face and body. You will see a real benefit by using a fruit enzyme-infused wash or mask twice per week. Some good fruit enzymes to look for include pineapple, pumpkin, and papaya.
