Here's the Scoop...

ASoTV 22Movie star Johnny Depp is set to join his fellow Hollywood Vampires bandmates Alice Cooper and Joe Perry on a concert tour next year.

"The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!! We're coming to Germany and Luxembourg Summer 2023! Tickets go on sale Monday 27 June," the band tweeted Wednesday. "Keep an eye out for more to come."

Formed in 2012, the band has released two albums, which include guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl and Joe Walsh.

Earlier this month, a Virginia jury found both Depp and his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, at least partially liable of defamation, but overwhelmingly favored the latter in the awarding of damages.

Depp said at the time the jury's verdict "gave me my life back."

"From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that," he said.

Depp sued Heard for $50 million after she wrote a 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post saying she was a survivor of domestic abuse. Although she didn't name Depp as her abuser in the article, Depp argued it's clear she was referring to him after obtaining a temporary restraining order against him during their 2016 divorce proceedings.

Depp said Heard's op-ed cost him acting jobs and millions of dollars as he was subsequently let go from the Fantastic Beasts and Pirates of the Caribbean film franchises.

New J.R.R. Tolkien book to coincide with Amazon's 'Lord of the Rings' series

HarperCollins will release a new book by late author J.R.R. Tolkien.

The company said in a press release Wednesday that it will publish The Fall of Númenor in November. Tolkien died at age 81 in 1973.

The Fall of Númenor compiles Tolkien's writings about the events of the Second Age. The book is edited by Brian Sibley and Christopher Tolkien and features illustrations by Alan Lee.

Sibley drew upon the Appendices of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings book series and other works to tell the story of the foundations of Númenor, the forging of the Rings, and the Last Alliance against Sauron that ended the Second Age.

"Since the first publication of The Silmarillion forty-five years ago, I have passionately followed Christopher Tolkien's meticulous curation and scholarship in publishing a formidable history of his father's writings on Middle-earth. I am honored to be adding to that authoritative library with The Fall of Númenor," Sibley said.

"I hope that, in drawing together many of the threads from the tales of the Second Age into a single work, readers will discover -- or rediscover -- the rich tapestry of characters and events that are a prelude to the drama of the War of the Ring as is told in The Lord of the Rings," he added.

Sibley said in a statement to The Tolkien Society that it was a "great honor" to work on the book.

"I hope that this opportunity to read, as a single narrative, an account of those years, will provide a new appreciation of how the monumental events of the Second Age were to impact on those told in The Lord of the Rings," he added.

The Fall of Númenor coincides with Amazon's Lord of the Rings series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The series takes place in the Second Age and will premiere Sept. 2 on Prime Video.

Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Owain Arthur and Sophia Nomvete star.

'House of the Dragon' poster features Emmy D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen

HBO is teasing the new series House of the Dragon.

The network shared a poster for the Game of Thrones prequel series Wednesday featuring Emmy D'Arcy.

The new art features D'Arcy as her character, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and a dragon.

"Fire will reign," the caption reads.

Rhaenyra is the eldest child of King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) and the niece of Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith).

House of the Dragon is based on the George R.R. Martin book Fire & Blood. The series takes place 200 years before the events of the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series.

House of the Dragon explores the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the "Dance of the Dragons."

Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans also star.

HBO released a teaser trailer and posters for the series in May.

House of the Dragon premieres Aug. 21.

HBO is also developing a Game of Thrones spinoff sequel series centering on Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington.

'They/Them' first trailer reveals Kevin Bacon's conversion camp horrors

Peacock teased its upcoming original horror film They/Them with its first trailer Wednesday showing Kevin Bacon leading an LGBTQIA+ conversion camp.

The Blumhouse slasher film, from award-winning screenwriter John Logan in his directorial debut and producer Jason Blum of Get Out, is set to debut Aug. 5.

They/Them, formerly titled Whistler Camp, stars Kevin Bacon as Owen Whistler who runs a conversion camp for queer and trans campers. The teenagers join Whistler for a week of programming intended to "help them find a new sense of freedom." Instead, the camp's methods become psychologically unsettling, as a mysterious killer claims victims and the teens are forced to band together to stay alive.

The teaser trailer opens with Whistler greeting the unsuspecting campers and welcoming them to a "safe space."

The film also stars Anna Chlumsky as Molly, the camp's medic and newest employee and Carrie Preston as Cora Whistler, a licensed therapist in charge of the campers' therapy sessions and wife of camp director Owen Whistler.

Theo Germaine of 4400 plays Jordan, a transgender and non-binary camper from a religious background who has made a deal with their parents to legally emancipate if attending Whistler doesn't "work."

"They/Them has been germinating within me my whole life," Logan said. "I've loved horror movies as long as I can remember, I think because monsters represent 'the other' and as a gay kid I felt a powerful sense of kinship with those characters who were different, outlawed or forbidden."

HGTV is building a new docuseries featuring newlyweds and real estate experts Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa in The Flipping El Moussas.

The eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere in 2023. It will follow the Flip or Flop alum and Selling Sunset star as they move to a new house, tackle a renovation and embark on a fertility journey to expand their family.

The kids are slated to appear on Hall's HGTV docuseries, Christina in the Country, later this year.

Tarek's solo series, Flipping 101, has been renewed and will return to HGTV in 2023.
