Greetings fellow Bizarros:
If you're a collector of military memorabilia and artifacts you should probably be careful where you sit. You might not think that is an admonishment that needs to be made to a person with a hobby like that, but then you haven't heard about the man in today's story who showed up at the hospital with a 57mm anti-tank shell lodged in a very uncomfortable place.
Army bomb squad technicians were sent to a hospital after a man arrived with a WWII anti-tank shell lodged into his rectum. Medics called for specialist support after the man presented in the Accident and Emergency unit of Gloucestershire Royal Hospital when he could not remove the 57mm shell.
The military collector claimed he armour-piercing munition was from his private arsenal. He told medics the 80-year-old explosive device became lodged after he tripped and fell awkwardly.
Police were called to the hospital as were the Army bomb squad. A hospital spokesperson confirmed 'relevant safety protocols' were followed and there were no risks to staff, patients or visitors.
Bizarrely,
Lewis

Leggo my Legos
German police are looking for witnesses after burglars broke through the wall of a toy store to steal dozens of Lego sets. The burglars left about 100 empty cardboard boxes behind, German news agency dpa reported. There is a huge market for Legos, and a collector who runs a website dedicated to the toys says that is why there are organized thefts of the famous toys. Police across the globe have been investigating Lego thefts. Earlier in the year, a man was arrested in Oregon and charged with stealing about $7,500 worth of the toy sets. According to NPR, there is a lot of money in Legos, especially ones that come out in limited editions and soon become collectors' items.

Man tries to avoid COVID jab with fake arm
A man in northern Italy brought a silicone arm to his COVID-19 vaccination in an attempt to obtain a green pass without actually getting the vaccine. The 50-year-old was questioned after a healthcare worker became immediately suspicious about the colour and feel of his arm. "This case borders on being ridiculous, were it not for the fact that we're talking about an extremely serious act," said the councillor for health Luigi Genesio Icardi. The Local Health Authority reported that "similar events occur now because those who are coming to get their first does now essentially belong to three categories: those who have delayed it for health reasons and have a medical certificate, the doubters who have been convinced, and the rest who are opposed to it but need a Green Pass and then invent these things."
