3 Ways to Change Your Skincare This Fall
Change Your Cleanser
The weather and your skin changes during the fall. As weather cools, you'll notice your skin feeling drier as we turn on the heat! So skin balms and cleansing creams will be your friend. Don't forget to exfoliate once to twice a week with a gentle scrub, to keep your skin looking fresh. Avoid harsh scrubs like apricot and opt for something gentler like raspberry.
Fall Flavored Toners
There may not be the perfect toner with the fall flavor, but here's an easy DIY Cranberry Toner that lasts i the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks and is very easy to make:
2 tablespoons rose water, 1/2 cup alcohol-free witch hazel, and 2 tablespoons of 100% cranberry juice. Using a funnel, pour the mixture into a clean 6-ounce bottle or spray bottle. Shake before each use and then swipe over the face with a cotton pad.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
With that dry weather and skin you need to be sure not to skip moisturizing each night. The most beneficial ingredients to look for in a night creams should be: pomegranate seed oil, avocado oil, and/ or rose hip oil.
Pomegranate seed oil allows the other ingredients to more deeply penetrate the skin to accelerate healing.
Avocado oil is packed with vitamins A and D. It also has fatty acids that improve skin hydration and elasticity. And rose hip oil contains natural antioxidants that help reverse sun damage and the effects of aging.
