Here's the Scoop...

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast is weighing in on the show's "joyful" series finale.

Series co-creator Dan Goor and stars Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero, Andre Braugher, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller appeared Thursday on Late Night with Seth Meyers following the final episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a police procedural comedy series that follows the detectives of Brooklyn's 99th Precinct. The series originally aired for five seasons on Fox before being canceled and subsequently picked up at NBC. The show ended Thursday after eight seasons.

On Late Night, Beatriz, who played Rosa Diaz, said it felt good for Brooklyn Nine-Nine to go out on its own terms.

"It was amazing. I think we all feel exceptionally proud of the work that we did this last season," the actress said.

"And like, with all the strange challenges and the, like, all of the challenges -- the writing challenges, the acting challenges, the crew challenges, but it felt really, I don't know ... It felt really joyful the way that we finished it," she added.

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast and crew worked together to complete the season despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Samburg, who played Jake Peralta, said the show's final table read was "hamstrung" by the health crisis.

"It was on Zoom. Last day together we were in the middle of shooting when we did it, so we were all in our dressing rooms on Zoom. So you could, like, hear people laughing across the hall and stuff. But you know, inevitably someone has like a terrible delay and it ruins it," he said with a laugh.

Fumero, who played Amy Santiago, said goodbye to the show in an Instagram post Thursday.

"I cannot wait for you all to see this final #Brooklyn99 episode. It's beautiful and so so funny. It has a million Easter eggs for you. It was made with a lot of love, and laughter, and joy, and tears," the actress wrote.

"I will never forget this job and what it has meant to me personally and professionally. Thank you to the fans of this show for sticking with us, and for loving us so loudly. I truly hope you love this finale," she said.

Be Well,
Steve

'You' Season 3 trailer shows Joe, Love move to suburbs with son

Netflix is giving a glimpse of You Season 3.

The streaming service shared a trailer for the season Friday featuring Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a serial killer and former New York bookstore manager.

The preview shows Joe (Badgley), his wife, fellow killer Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), and their infant son, Henry, move to the suburbs of Northern California in an attempt to start anew.

Joe, however, develops a new obsession with their neighbor, Natalie (Michaela McManus), leading to deadly conflict in his marriage.

"Neither one of you is going to kill your spouse. You're many things but you are not murderers," an unwitting therapist tells Joe and Love in couples counseling as the scene flashes to the pair burying a dead body.

Netflix released a teaser for the season Thursday that shows Joe spying on Natalie (McManus).

You is based on the Caroline Kepnes novels You, Hidden Bodies and You Love Me. Showrunner Sera Gamble and series creator Greg Berlanti will return as executive producers in the new season.

Season 3 premieres Oct. 15 on Netflix.

'Jeopardy!': Mayim Bialik, Ken Jennings to host through 2021

StarClearanceActress Mayim Bialik and Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings will host the game show for the remainder of the year.

Jeopardy! confirmed on its official Twitter account Thursday that Bialik, 45, and Jennings, 47, will fill in as hosts following Mike Richards' exit.

"Not sure if you've heard but @missmayim and @kenjennings are hosting me until the end of the year. Everyone on the staff is supralunar," the post reads.

Bialik will host new episodes through Nov. 5, after which she and Jennings will "split hosting duties as their schedules allow," Sony Pictures Television said.

Bialik, an actress known for playing Amy on The Big Bang Theory, was originally announced in August to host new Jeopardy! primetime specials and a potential spinoff series. She was later confirmed to guest host the regular game show in the wake of Richards' departure.

Jennings is a former Jeopardy! contestant who holds the record for the longest winning streak on the show and the highest winnings in regular season play. He previously guest hosted Jeopardy! following longtime host Alex Trebek's death in November 2020.

Richards stepped down as the new permanent host of Jeopardy! in August following controversy over his past remarks. He later also exited the show as an executive producer.

Jeopardy! dedicated a stage to Trebek during its episodes this week. This week's shows have also seen contestant Matt Amodio win his 21st game, giving him the third-most consecutive wins after Jennings and James Holzhauer.

Elton John postpones farewell tour due to hip injury

Elton John announced Thursday he is postponing his 2021 Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in Europe and United Kingdom to 2023 due to an injury.

"At the end of my summer break I fell awkwardly on a hard surface and have been in considerable pain and discomfort in my hip ever since," he said in an announcement on Twitter. "Despite intensive physio and specialist treatment, the pain has continued to get worse and is leading to increasing difficulties moving."

John said he was advised to have an operation so there wouldn't be long-term complications.

The 74-year-old said he will participate in the Global Citizen event on Sept. 25, as he doesn't want to let the charity down, and said performing five songs is different than performing for three hours and traveling.

He concluded his message noting how patient his fans have been since the COVID-19 pandemic halted his tour.

"I completely feel your frustrations after the year we've had," he said. "I promise you this -- the shows will return to the road next year and I will make sure they are more than worth the wait."

In 2018, the pop icon announced he would be retiring from touring after his 300-date Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

"I'm not going to be touring and traveling the world. My priorities have changed. I have young children," he said to moderator Anderson Cooper onstage during his live stream event announcing the tour.

John recently released a new version of "Cold Heart," his duet with Dua Lipa, titled "Cold Heart (The Blessed Madonna Remix)."
