Quick and Crafty Hotel Makeup Hacks
Use Lipstick if You Forgot Blush and/or Shadow
If you arrive at your destination and find you've forgotten your blush and/or your eyeshadow, you can use lipstick to create a soft monochromatic look. Dot a bit of lipstick on the apples of your cheeks and use your fingertips to soften the color to your liking. The same can be done at the crease of your eyes, bringing color and glow to your skin. Don't forget to set with powder.
No Lash Curler? Use a Spoon
I know, this sound insane but this is an "old school" makeup artist trick. If you forgot your lash curler, snag a clean spoon from the breakfast buffet or room service cart. Use the in-room hair drier to slightly warm the metal, then place the outer edge of the spoon on to top of your lashes. with your thumb guiding along the bottom of your lash draw the spoon up like curling ribbon.
Use a Hot Chocolate Packet and Complimentary Toothbrush for Brows
Some rooms have hot cocoa packets among the coffee goodies in your room. If not, they may have them through room service or in the gift shop. Stop by the front desk and say you need a toothbrush, they'll usually give you a disposable complimentary. Take the toothbrush and lightly dampen it and dip the clean brush into cocoa powder then brush it into your brows for a natural accent.
Gloss Missing? Use Lip Balm and Eyeshadow or Blush
No gloss? No problem. If you've got lip balm, or can purchase some from hotel the gift shop, find a rosy shimmer eyeshadow or blush that works for the color you'd like and run it over the power, then apply it to your lips. Instant shine.
Remember, these hacks are just for when you're in a pinch. They are safe to try and, let's facet it, sometimes you just have to get crafty. Would any of these a go or would you rather get an Uber to the nearest drugstore?
