Mads Mikkelsen joins 'Indiana Jones 5' cast

Mads Mikkelsen has been cast in Indiana Jones 5, which will once again star Harrison Ford in the title role.

Plot details are being kept under wraps and it is unknown who Mikkelsen will be portraying in the action-adventure sequel.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge also stars in the film, from filmmaker James Mangold.

Mangold is taking over directing duties after Steven Spielberg directed the previous four Indiana Jones installments. Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel are producing. John Williams is returning to score the project.

Lucasfilm is hoping to start production this summer with Mangold meeting with other talent.

Indiana Jones 5 is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022. The last entry, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released in 2008.

A new Indiana Jones video game is also in development from publisher Bethesda Softworks and Lucasfilm Games. The title will feature an original story.

Mikkelsen is best known for starring in James Bond film Casino Royale, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Doctor Strange. He will appear in the third Fantastic Beasts film, replacing Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.

Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez split; say they're 'better as friends'

NewAllProductsCelebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are calling it quits on their relationship.

The 51-year-old singer and actor and 45-year-old retired professional baseball player have called off their two-year engagement, Today reported Thursday.

Lopez and Rodriguez confirmed the split in a statement to People.

"We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects," the pair said.

"We wish the best for each other and one another's children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have is to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support."

Lopez has 13-year-old twins, daughter Emme and son Max, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez has two daughters, Natasha, 16, and Ella, 12, with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis.

News of the split follows reports in March that Lopez and Rodriguez had broken up. The pair said at the time that they were still together and "working through some things."

Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019 after two years of dating. The couple had to postpone their wedding twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"You know, we tried twice in 2020. We got bit twice by COVID-19. You know, they say in baseball, third time's the charm. So let's hope ... it's this year," Rodriguez said in an interview on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in January.

Lopez was previously married to Anthony, Cris Judd and Ojani Noa, while Rodriguez was married to Scurtis.

Video ThumbnailUniversal Pictures is giving a glimpse of the new film F9.

The studio shared a trailer for the new Fast & Furious movie Wednesday featuring Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, a former street racer who is now living a quiet life as a husband and father.

The preview shows Dominic (Diesel) emerge to take on his villainous brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena). Dominic reunites with Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Ludacris), Han Lue (Sung Kang) and other members of his team to take his brother down.

The movie also stars Jordana Brewster as Dominic and Jakob's sister, Mia Toretto, Nathalie Emmanuel as Megan Ramsey, a new member of Dominic's team, Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw and Charlize Theron as the criminal mastermind Cypher.

F9 is the ninth film in the Fast & Furious franchise and is a sequel to the 2017 movie The Fate of the Furious. The new film is directed by Justin Lin, who directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011) and Fast & Furious 6 (2013).

News broke in October that the Fast & Furious film franchise will end with an 11th and final film. Lin will direct the 10th and 11th installments.

F9 opens in theaters June 25. The film was originally to open in May 2020 but was previously delayed to April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Diana Gabaldon to release ninth 'Outlander' book in November

Diana Gabaldon will release the ninth book in her Outlander series in November.

The 69-year-old author shared a release date, Nov. 23, for the novel, titled Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, on Thursday.

Gabaldon also posted the U.K. cover for the new book, which features the same blue and gold color scheme as the U.S. version.

While responding to fans on Twitter, Gabaldon confirmed there will be a 10th and final novel in the Outlander book series, along with a prequel about Jamie Fraser's parents.

"I'm honestly and truly THRILLED to announce that We. Have. A. PUB DATE!! for BEES!" Gabaldon said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. "So looking forward to sharing this book with you all!"

Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone picks up where the eighth novel, Written In My Own Heart's Blood (2014), left off. The new book will see Jamie and Clare's family reunited as Brianna, Roger and their children return to Fraser's Ridge in 1779 during the American Revolution.

"Having the family together is a dream the Frasers had thought impossible," an official description reads. "Meanwhile, the Revolutionary War creeps ever closer to Fraser's Ridge. And with the family finally together, Jamie and Clare have more at stake than ever before."

The Outlander book series inspired the Starz television series of the same name, which features Caitriona Balfe as Clare and Sam Heughan as Jamie. Production on Season 6 is underway and the show was renewed in March for a seventh season.
