Good Morning Groanies,
Sean has a glider chair in his bedroom that needs a little TLC. It's probably the most used piece of furniture in the house. We've had it since Jack was born, almost 9 years ago, and it's certainly seen better days.
Sean has asked me to "fix it" because it squeaks and the frame seems a little loose. I told him that I'd have to give it a look and figure out what I can to do to keep it in proper working condition.
At this point I have looked it over, but I just didn't have the time to fix it before Sean went to bed. He was very concerned about the progress of the repairs and I told him that before I'd fix the chair I'd have to "sleep on it" and therefore concoct a plan of what to do to remedy this situation.
Sean said, without missing a beat, "Sleep on it. Sit on it. Just fix it, please!"
That kid has got timing. And timing is everything.
Groaningly yours,
Steve

An elderly couple was watching television one evening. "I am going to get a dish of ice cream now," the wife said.
Kindly, the husband offered to get the ice cream for his wife.
"I'll write it down so you don't forget," she said.
"I won't forget," the old gent said.
"But, I want chocolate syrup and nuts on it. So, I'll write it down," she replied.
"I will get you the ice cream. Don't you worry," replied the husband.
A few minutes later, the old man returned with bacon and eggs.
His wife said, "See, I should have written it down because you forgot the toast."
