Here's the Scoop...

Chadwick Boseman said on The Tonight Show that he first auditioned to play Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy before he was selected to portray Black Panther.

"I didn't think I was going to get it," the actor told host Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday's show.

"It's a testament to Marvel because after each film, Ant-Man has a different tone and feeling. We didn't know what that was going to be. We didn't know what Guardians was going to be," Boseman said.

"So I didn't know what it was and I only had a few pages at that time. So it was just good to come in and play and to see what they did with it."

The role of Drax was given to Dave Bautista with Boseman saying that his initial audition with Marvel led to him becoming Black Panther.

"Sometimes that's the way it works as an actor," the 41-year-old said. "You're meeting the people that you know, they might be like, 'He's not this, but we'll put him in this other thing.'"

Boseman will next be seen in police thriller 21 Bridges, which hits theaters on Friday. He will be reprising his Marvel role in Black Panther 2, set to open in theaters on May 6, 2022.

Be Well,
Steve

Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell receive simultaneous Hollywood Walk of Fame stars

Frozen stars Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame simultaneously on Tuesday. The sequel Frozen II opens Friday.

Each recipient of the star had two speakers introduce them at the unveiling at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Argyle Ave, near the Pantages Theater where Menzel has performed on stage. Actor Jackie Tohn and The Good Place creator Michael Schur introduced Bell. Disney co-chairman Alan Horn and Frozen co-star Josh Gad introduced Menzel.

Bell recalled meaningful moments of her life like singing an aria to her father as a child, learning the first twist in The Good Place season 1, being cast by her husband, Dax Shepard, in a movie based on their love story and her mother dropping her off at auditions.

"This star will really only know its true value when inevitably someone is mugged in that very spot," Bell concluded. "As they clutch their purse the assailant screams, 'Let it go!' and the victim will look up and say, 'That's not even her song ...' Only then will I know I've truly made it."

"Let It Go" is Elsa's signature song in Frozen. Bell plays Anna, Elsa's sister.

Menzel lamented that her father was injured and could not make it to Hollywood from Florida, and her sister also could not be present. She thanked her mother in the audience for not allowing her to have a fallback career, and credited her 10-year-old son, Walker, for inspiring her and husband Aaron Lohr in the audience for giving her a sense of peace.

"In the words of Jonathan Larson who is the composer of Rent and the very first job that I ever had in my life, I'm humbled and honored to be here," Menzel said. "I'm going to try to take in the moment as he would say, 'Savor this moment because there's no day but today.'"

Harrison Ford asks dog to go on an adventure in 'Call of the Wild' trailer

Harrison Ford asks dog to go on an adventure in 'Call of the Wild' trailerTwentieth Century Fox released the first trailer for its upcoming film adaptation of Jack London's adventure novel The Call of the Wild on Wednesday.

Directed by Chris Sanders, the live-action movie stars Harrison Ford alongside photorealistic animated animals. It is set for theatrical release in 2020 and co-stars Dan Stevens, Karen Gillan, Omar Sy and Bradley Whitford.

"The Call of the Wild vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s," a synopsis said.

The studio's 2-minute preview shows Ford as fictional character John Thornton, asking Buck: "How do you feel about an adventure beyond all maps? We could go -- you and I -- where no one's ever been before."

The movie marks Ford's first on-screen film role since 2017's Blade Runner 2049. He lent his voice to the character of Rooster in the cartoon blockbuster The Secret Life of Pets 2 earlier this year.

The 77-year-old actor is best known for his iconic performances in the Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises.

LOOSE LIPS:

"For me, it's not just about giving material things and monetary aid but it's giving out love and giving yourself too, which is the unlimited part of this thing, because money and physical things are limited but the love that you can give is unlimited. That is the reason for giving, then out of that, everything else comes."
--Ziggy Marley, on the importance of putting his heart into giving back in addition to monetary aid when it comes to supporting his charity, U.R.G.E., and others, to PEOPLE
