Here's the Scoop...Jason Momoa is back... and blind and brutal in Apple original "See" trailer!

Apple released the trailer for its original series, See, on Tuesday. Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard star in the Apple TV + original series that premieres Nov. 1.

In a post-apocalyptic world, humans have lost the sense of sight. Momoa leads a tribe through the wilderness with only his other four senses. However, he discovers that new babies have the ability to see, making them valuable to enemies. While his tribe wants to give up the babies to protect themselves, his character fights for them.

The trailer is action-packed with primitive battles and a harrowing rope bridge sequence. Momoa. The trailer touts the producer of the Planet of the Apes trilogy, referring to Peter Chernin, and the primal action shows. Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight also produces See. Hunger Games and I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence directed the pilot episode.

Momoa plays DC Comics hero Arthur Curry in the Aquaman films, with a sequel in development for a 2022 release. He also is in the cast of the upcoming Dune adaptation and will appear in the Netflix film, Sweet Girl.

Apple TV+ launches Nov. 1. Along with See, launch series include Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell in The Morning Show, Hailey Steinfeld in a comedy about the poet Dickinson, Ronald Moore sci-fi series For All Mankind, children's series Helpsters, Snoopy in Space, a Ghostwriter remake, documentary The Elephant Queen and Oprah Winfrey's docuseries.

Future Apple TV+ originals include a Steven Spielberg reboot of Amazing Stories, a Rob McElhenney comedy Mythic Quest, a J.J. Abrams/Sara Bareilles musical Little Voice, Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon's Little America, Aaron Paul and Octavia Spencer in Truth Be Told and Chris Evans in Defending Jacob.

'Coco' to come to life as all-star live concert

Popular animated movie Coco will come to life onstage as an all-star live concert.

Live Nation, which is promoting the event, announced in a press release Monday that Coco Live in Concert will play at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in November.

Coco Live in Concert will take place Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 in honor of Diá de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, which falls Oct. 31-Nov. 2 this year. The Hollywood Bowl will be transformed into the Land of the Dead, with attendees encouraged to wear costumes.

Coco will play on the Hollywood Bowl movie screen while accompanied by a full live orchestra. The Disney-Pixar film's original voice cast, including Benjamin Bratt, Jaime Camil, Alex Gonzalez and Alanna Ubach, will perform, with Eva Longoria, Miguel, Carlos Rivera, Lele Pons, Rudy Mancuso and Natalia Jimenez to appear as special guests.

"I'm very excited to join this incredible group of exceptional talent, in the city that I'm from, to bring this very special movie and message to life," Miguel said. "The idea of celebrating our ancestors is very dear to my heart, especially after the passing of my grandparents."

Felipe Fernandez del Paso will direct Coco Live in Concert, with conductor Sarah Hicks to lead the full orchestra. The orchestra and the performers will perform several songs from Coco, including "Remember Me," "Un Poco Loco" and "The World Es Mi Familia."

Coco follows Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez), a 12-year-old boy who is accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead. The movie opened in theaters in November 2017 and grossed over $807 million at the box office.

Disney scraps 'The Muppets' Disney+ series from Josh Gad

Disney has canceled plans to release a Muppets scripted comedy series on its upcoming streaming service, Disney+.

The project, titled Muppets Live Another Day, was being developed by Frozen star Josh Gad, along with Once Upon a Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis.

The planned eight-episode limited series would have followed the events of 1984 film The Muppets Take Manhattan.

Gad, Horowitz, Kitsis had creative differences with Disney over the series, leading to it being scrapped.

Disney+ will still feature a short form Muppets project in 2020 titled Muppets Now that will feature characters such as Kermit the Frog and Missy Piggy interacting with celebrity guests.

ABC aired a Muppets television series in 2015 that lasted one season.

Who has the honor of hosting the 45th annual Saturn Awards?

'Dark Shadows' sequel series in development at The CW

A Dark Shadows sequel series that would continue the events of the original show is in development at The CW.

The new series, titled Dark Shadows: Reincarnation, will work as a modern update of the show which aired on ABC from 1966-1971 and still feature the supernatural Collins family.

Mark B. Perry (Revenge, Ghost Whisperer), a fan of the original series, is penning the pilot and is executive producing alongside Michael Helfant, Bradley Gallo and Tracy Mercer of Amasia Entertainment.

Tracy and Cathy Curtis, the daughters of series creator Dan Curtis, are also executive producing.

Dark Shadows originally starred Jonathan Frid, Grayson Hall, Alexandra Isles, Nancy Barett, Joan Bennett, Louis Edmonds, David Selby, Kathryn Leigh Scott, David Henesy and Lara Parker.

Filmmaker Tim Burton released a film version of Dark Shadows in 2012 starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter.

"As a first-generation fan, it's been a dream of mine to give Dark Shadows the Star Trek treatment since way back in the '80s when Next Generation was announced, so I'm beyond thrilled and humbled to be entrusted with this resurrection," Perry told Deadline in a statement.

"I also want to reassure the fans of the original that this version will treat the show's mythology with the same reverence given to Star Trek, but will also make the show accessible for audiences who aren't yet familiar with the macabre world of the Collinses," he continued.

HBO renews 'The Righteous Gemstones' for a second season

HBO has renewed Danny McBride's comedy series The Righteous Gemstones for a second season.

The renewal comes four episodes into the first season, which premiered in August.

McBride, John Goodman, Adam Devine, Edi Patterson, Walton Goggins, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Tim Baltz and Greg Alan Williams star in the series which follows a famous televangelist family.

McBride created The Righteous Gemstones and also serves as an executive producer, director and writer. David Gordon Green and Jody Hill are executive producing and directing.

"Danny, Jody and David are among our favorite collaborators, and we're thrilled that their take on a family comedy has been met with such enthusiasm," executive vp, HBO programming Amy Gravitt said in a statement.

"We cannot wait to share the next steps in the Gemstone family's epic journey. Hallelujah!" she continued.

McBride, Green and Hill's Rough House Pictures have also produced Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals for HBO.

Who has the honor of hosting the 45th annual Saturn Awards?

The Saturn Awards announced Tuesday that Aisha Tyler would host the 45th annual Saturn Awards show. The ceremony is on Friday, Sept. 13 at 9 p.m. ET.

"I'm thrilled to be spending a night honoring the best in genre storytelling," Tyler said in a statement. "I've loved sci-fi and fantasy since I was a little girl, and it's a blast to get to celebrate the brilliant minds and thrilling stories that shape our loftiest dreams and fuel our darkest nightmares."

Tyler is currently the voice of Lana Kane on FX's animated comedy Archer, and fans remember her as Ross' Paleontology professor girlfriend on Friends. She has also co-hosted The Talk and starred on Criminal Minds, XIII and 24 among other acting roles.

The Saturn Awards is broadcasting live for the first time on CONtv, Pluto TV's Sci-Fi Channel, and streaming on Nerdist, Shout Factory TV, WatchMojo.com and the official Saturn Awards YouTube Channel, website and app.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror gives awards to the best in science-fiction, fantasy, and horror. They previously announced special awards for Kevin Feige, Jon Favreau, and Jeph Loeb.

Films nominated for this year's Saturn Awards include Aquaman; Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War; Captain Marvel; Shazam!; Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Far From Home; Alita: Battle Angel; Bumblebee; Ready Player One; Solo: A Star Wars Story; Sorry to Bother You; Us; Hereditary; Aladdin; Mary Poppins Returns; Toy Story 4; and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum with actors Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr. Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Brie Larson, Keanu Reeves, and Toni Collette nominated for their performances. Nicolas Cage also earned a nomination for Mandy.

DC's superhero shows, Counterpart, The Orville, Westworld, Game of Thrones, The Good Place, Outlander, The Walking Dead and What We Do In The Shadows are among television and streaming nominees. Cast members Kit Harrington, Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Jeffrey Wright, Emilia Clarke, Seth Macfarlane, Ed Harris, Peter Dinklage, Danai Gurira, Gwendoline Christie, Lean Headey, and Sophie Turner are among acting nominees.
