Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth separate

Pop music star Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth have split up less than a year after exchanging marriage vows.

Cyrus shared photos from her Nashville wedding in December. In June, she denied rumors her 10-year romance with Hemsworth, 29, was over.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," Cyrus' representative told People.com in a statement Saturday. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

Entertainment Tonight published photos this weekend of Cyrus, 26, kissing and cuddling reality TV personality Kaitlynn Carter, 30, while they are on vacation in Italy.

Carter confirmed last week that she broke up with Brody Jenner, 35, after six years.

Universal Pictures cancels theatrical release of 'The Hunt'

Universal Pictures announced Saturday it has canceled the theatrical release of its "satirical social thriller, "The Hunt."

"While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for The Hunt, after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film," the studio said in a statement. "We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film."

Starring Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Ike Barinholtz, Justin Hartley and Ethan Suplee, the R-rated movie is about wealthy hunters who make a game out of trying to kill for sport less prosperous "deplorables," who have opposing political opinions.

In a twist, the prey fight back and attempt to take down the operation.

Craig Zobel directed the movie, which was set to open on Sept. 27.

"This was a decision that the studio came to with The Hunt filmmaking team, but ultimately it was about making the right decision, right now. It was a tough call for the company, but studio leadership, led by Donna Langley, all agreed that this film could wait," a studio source told The Hollywood Reporter.

The cancellation was announced after a string of mass shootings in the United States this month, as well as tweets from President Donald Trump, criticizing Hollywood.

"Liberal Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate! They like to call themselves "Elite," but they are not Elite. In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite," he tweeted.

He added: "The movie coming out is made in order to inflame and cause chaos. They create their own violence, and then try to blame others. They are the true Racists, and are very bad for our Country!"

LOOSE LIPS:

"I said, 'Dad, dad, she's a hooker, so don't ask her any questions.' He's like, 'What?! She's a hooker?' And I said, 'Yeah, what do you think? They don't always dress in fishnets and lingerie, dad.' And then he was just like, 'That Charlie.' And then he goes, 'Well, that was nice of you to invite her in for dinner.'"

Jackie Collins biopic 'Lady Boss' in the works

Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins Story, a biopic about late author Jackie Collins, is in the works.

Screen Daily confirmed Friday that Passion Pictures is producing a new documentary film about the British author, who was known for her romance novels.

Deadline said Laura Fairrie will direct the biopic, which is being financed by AGC Studios, CNN Films and BBC Arts. John Battsek and Lizzie Gillet will serve as producers.

Lady Boss will recount Collins' journey as a best-selling author whose personal life sometimes rivaled the plots in her books. Collins, the sister of actress Joan Collins, grew up close to the limelight and pursued acting as a young adult. Her first husband, Wallace Austin, died of an overdose after their divorce, and her second husband, Oscar Lerman, and fiancé, Frank Calcangnini, both died during the relationships.

Collins published 32 novels, including The World is Full of Married Men, Lethal Seduction, and Hollywood Wives, all of which appeared on The New York Times bestsellers list. She died at age 77 in 2015.

AGC will handle global distribution rights for Passion Pictures and introduce the film to U.S. and international buyers. CNN Films will have broadcast TV rights in North America, while BBC Arts will have TV rights for BBC Two on terrestrial TV.

AGC Studios and CNN Films are also collaborating on a documentary about civil rights activist John Lewis.

El Moussa and Anstead are parents to two children, daughter Taylor and son Brayden. El Moussa said he has introduced Young to his kids, parents and sister.
