Red Sox legend David Ortiz, aka Big Papi, shot in Dominican Republic

Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was shot at a nightclub late Sunday in
the Dominican Republic.

The bullet entered his back and exited the 43-year-old's abdomen. David was treated
at a hospital in Sano Domingo where he had surgery just after midnight, the doctors
removed part of his intestines, colon, and gallbladder during the six hour operation.
But I'm happy to report he is in stable condition.

The alleged gunman, 25-year-old Eddy Feliz Garcia, was held and beaten by bystanders after the attack. He was taken into custody by police, and as of right now no apparent motive was given.

In a security video of the attack, Ortiz is seen sitting at a table as the shooter, who arrived moments earlier on a motorcycle, approaches from behind, shoots once and attempts to flee.

Hoping for a speedy recovery, Big Papi!!

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are married

Another celebrity couple tied the knot over the weekend...

The Guardian of the Galaxy actor, Chris Pratt, wed Arnold Schwarzenegger's
daughter, Katherin Schwarzenegger, Saturday at the exclusive San Ysidro
Ranch in California.

The couple announced their engagement via Instagram in January of this year.

This is Katherine's first marriage, and Chris' second, he was married to Anna
Farias who he shares a six-year-old son with. Side note: Ex-wife Anna did attend
the wedding, and Chris even text her the day after proposing to Katherine.
It's nice that they can still be civil and co-parent together...relationship goals, for sure!

The happy couple have been kept their relationship out of the spotlight for the most part. They recently made their red carpet debut at Chris' Avengers: Endgame premiere in April.

Here's a quick timeline: They were first spotted together June 2018, Chris Pratt made their relationship Instagram official December 2018, proposed January 2019, and now married June 2019.

Hey when love smacks you in the face...you just go for it! Life's too short!

Cheers to them, and here's to many happy years creating memories and allowing their love for each other to grow.

Kylie Jenner slammed for having a 'Handmaid's Tale'-themed party

Kylie Jenner sure did enjoy a weekend full of festivities!

She threw her 'best friend forever', Anastasia Karanikolaou a birthday party, The Handmaid's Tale themed, but some people are pretty disturbed by the gesture.

In the photos and vidoes shared on both girls Instagrams on Saturday, guests can be seen walking through the door of Jenner's home, which was redecorated to look just like Gilead.

Once the guests arrived, each attendee got matching Handmaid's
red robe costumes and enjoyed drinks that were inspired by the
popular show.

Even though it looks as all the party goers were enjoying themselves, many people hit up Twitter with their concerns that Jenner doesn't really understand what the show is about.

Dozens of Twitter users a are saying: what about the concept makes anyone want to celebrate? The Handmaid's Tale looks at a fictional scenario in which women's rights have been drastically limited, in which rape and forced childbirth have become routine.

Looks like Kylie will have some explainin' to do...

The amazing actress on www.celebritynooz.com who's face is distorted is non other than....Anna Kendrick!

In all honesty, I thought this one was tough.

Anna will reunite with her 'A Simple Favor' director Paul Feig. (side note: if you haven't seen this movie, it's worth the watch.)

The two will team up again for Love Life, a new romantic comedy anthology series for Warner Media's upcoming streaming service. This marks the latest case of rom-coms continuing their comeback in the age of streaming. Learn more about
