Here's the Scoop...

Attention: Video Game Fans!

Marvel and publisher Square Enix have announced that the long-in-development Avengers video game will be showcased at the upcoming 2019 Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3.

Marvel said on Wednesday that the video game will be presented during Square Enix's E3 press conference which will be livestreamed on June 10 at 9 p.m. ET.

The Avengers video game was first announced alongside a teaser trailer in January 2017. The clip featured images of Captain America's shield, Iron Man's arm, Thor's hammer and Bruce Banner's glasses amongst rubble.

The title is being developed by Square Enix teams Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) and Eidos Montreal (Deus Ex: Mankind Divided). Avengers is a part of a multi-year, multi-game deal between Marvel and Square Enix.

"Marvel's Avengers is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come," Marvel said.

I'm not much of a gamer, but I might have to dust off my old Playstation and get ready to - GAME ON!

Alex Trebek says some tumors have shrunk by 50 percent

Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has said in a new interview that some of his tumors have shrunk by 50 percent since he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Trebek told People magazine, in an interview published on Wednesday, that he is responding well to chemotherapy and that doctors say he is near remission.

"It's kind of mind-boggling," Trebek said. "The doctors said they hadn't seen this kind of positive result in their memory."

Trebek also stated that he still has several more rounds of chemotherapy to go through but is hopeful that he will reach full remission.

Trebek, 78, announced that he had cancer in March. The game show host said in April that he still plans on hosting the next season of Jeopardy!

Contestant James Holzhauer is currently dominating Jeopardy!, earning his 29th straight victory on Tuesday which brought his winnings up to $2,254,938.

Holzhauer, a 34-year-old professional sports gambler from Las Vegas, is close to reaching former champion Ken Jennings who previously won 74 consecutive games of Jeopardy! for a record $2,520,700.

Kit Harington enters into wellness retreat for 'personal issues'

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has checked himself into a wellness retreat, his representative has confirmed.

"Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues," Harington's representative Marianna Shafran said in a statement on Tuesday.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Harington has been in a Connecticut health retreat for close to a month, entering before HBO's Game of Thrones came to an end.

Harington famously portrayed Jon Snow on the fantasy drama.

"I was very shocked and surprised at certain events unfolding. And then I blubbed my eyes out. I cried," he said previously in March about his reaction to the show's ending.

Harington, also in March, said that he had sought therapy following his character's death in the Season 5 finale. Jon Snow later returned in Season 6.

Director F. Gary Gray gets star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Director F. Gary Gray received the 2,665th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Gray, who directed films including Friday and Straight Outta Compton, was honored with the star in a ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard celebrating his career directing films and music videos.

"The reason why this star represents growth is because ... I not only wished my supporters success, but I wished my naysayers success," Gray said during the ceremony. "If I have any advice: Never let anybody take your power away from you. Wish them well and create and build."

One of Gray's most notable early works was directing the music video for rapper Ice Cube's hit "It Was a Good Day" in 1992. The pair would team up again for Gray's directorial debut in the feature film Friday in 1995.

Gray went on to direct more videos for Ice Cube and other artists including Dr. Dre, Whitney Houston and Jay-Z in addition to directing films such as The Negotiator, The Italian Job, Be Cool and Law Abiding Citizen.

Jamie Foxx, who stared in Law Abiding Citizen, praised Gray for helping to foster the careers of black actors through his films.

"Coming from a young, black kid from South Central to having your name on these streets forever, they can never take it away from you," Foxx said. "We will always marvel it, we will always lift you up and we will always stop the record to say F. Gary Gray is in the house."

Gray's most recent release was the 2017 blockbuster The Fate of the Furious, starring Vin Diesel, who also spoke on his behalf Tuesday.

"If you watch his filmography, if you watch his come up, if you watch his existence, it must be the definition of perseverance, it must be the definition of reaching for your dreams," Diesel said.

Tuesday's ceremony came about two weeks ahead of the release of his latest film, Men in Black: International.

Which 'This is Us' star reflects after reaching Mount Everest base camp?

Mandy Moore is reflecting on her journey to Mount Everest base camp.

The 35-year-old actress said in an Instagram post Wednesday that making it to camp was a self-affirming and unforgettable experience.

Moore shared a slideshow of photos from her trek, including a celebratory picture upon reaching base camp Sunday at 17,700 feet above sea level.

"There's no way to distill this experience down to a few sentences. There's no way to encapsulate what coursed through our veins and brains living in the mountains this past week. It will come in time," Moore captioned the post.

"I think I'm slowly learning that I feel most like me when I'm outdoors. It couldn't be any more outside my everyday realm and yet there's something entirely refreshing about being tasked with nothing more than breathing and slowly putting one foot in front of the other," she said.

Moore thanked Everest veteran Melissa Reid and her friends Ashley Streicher, Chase Weideman and Jen Dalton for accompanying her on the journey.

"We shared everything ... all the makings of a quality trip to the most remarkable place any of us have ever been," Moore wrote. "I'm also left inspired by the collective perseverance this group had to help each other every step of the way and to watch as we all met this shared goal of reaching base camp together is something I'll never forget.

"I dug deep while in the midst of all of those pressure breaths and made a mental list of things that scared me but I was anxious to tackle. Now that I'm back on solid ground, I can't wait to home and get to it," she said.

Eleven people have died on Mount Everest during this year's climbing season. Nepal's tourism authority has blamed crowding, poor weather and a lack of climbing experience for the high death toll.

Moore and her party reached Everest base camp after more than a week of hiking. The actress celebrated the achievement in a post on Instagram.

"There is so much magic in these mountains. They represent adventure in the grandest form and in a language all their own," she wrote. "Spoiler alert: we made it!!!"

Moore previously voiced her love for the outdoors in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! in March following her honeymoon to Chile with husband Taylor Goldsmith.

"He's very kind to sort of indulge me," she said. "He woke up at 5 a.m. on this honeymoon and we hiked a volcano together, so he was very amenable to the plan. He was wonderful about it.

"I think we hiked every single day that we weren't traveling when we were in the country," she added. "I mean, we planned it together -- I don't think he quite knew what he was in for."

Moore plays Rebecca Pearson on the NBC series This is Us. The show co-stars Milo Ventimiglia, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley, and completed a third season in April.
