James Holzhauer continues his winning 'Jeopardy!' streak, bringing his earnings just shy of 2 million dollars pic.twitter.com/f0hjTTAOO3- TODAY (@TODAYshow) May 24, 2019

Reigning Jeopardy! contestant James Holzhauer extended his winning streak to 26 games as he nears a $2 million cash total.

Holzhauer faced stiff competition on Thursday as he trailed behind contestant Nate Scheffey during the first Jeopardy! round.

The 34-year-old professional sports gambler from Las Vegas recovered, however, and pulled ahead by $5,400 before heading into the final question.

Holzhauer and Scheffey both gave the correct response with Holzhauer winning the game by betting $20,908 to earn $52,108. He has now earned $1,991,135 over the course of his winning streak.

Holzhauer, if he wins on Friday and earns at least an additional $8,865, will then reach $2 million.

He only trails former contestant Ken Jennings who previously won 74 consecutive games of Jeopardy! and holds the record for most money earned during the regular-season play with $2,520,700.

Holzhauer is only the second contestant ever to reach $1 million in regular-season play. His top single game total equals $131,127 -- a Jeopardy! record.

James is quickly approaching $2,000,000 in total winnings. Tune in #TodayOnJ! to see if he makes it! pic.twitter.com/lmLC5bElIi- Jeopardy! (@Jeopardy) May 24, 2019

Chris Pratt to reprise 'Jurassic World' role for Universal ride

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to reprise their Jurassic World roles in Universal Studios Hollywood's upcoming Jurassic World thrill ride.

Pratt and Howard will be seen once again as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively on Jurassic World - The Ride, alongside BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu.

The ride, which will take guests on a journey through Jurassic World using special water rafts, will feature an original storyline featuring Pratt, Howard and Wong. The stars will be providing theme park guests with information about their interactions with dinosaurs and facts about the towering creatures.

The trio starred in 2015's Jurassic World and its sequel, 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. A third film is in development and is set to arrive in theaters on June 11, 2021.

Jurassic World - The Ride is a revamped version of Universal Studios Hollywood's previous Jurassic Park ride. The frightening and aquatic Mosasaurus will be making an appearance on the attraction as he approaches theme park goers from behind a glass aquarium. The Indominus rex will also be featured alongside other dinosaurs as riders are sent down an 84-foot waterfall.

Universal released a teaser trailer for the attraction in April featuring a Tyrannosaurus Rex wrecking havoc inside the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

Snoop Dogg voices love for Martha Stewart: 'It's a perfect match'

Snoop Dogg thinks he and Martha Stewart make a "perfect match."

The 47-year-old rapper discussed his friendship with Stewart, his Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party co-star, during Friday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I love me some Martha Stewart. She is just a joy to be around," he told host Ellen DeGeneres. "You wouldn't think of that when you think of Snoop Dogg off the top [of your head], but as Snoop Dogg rolls into who he becomes it's just a perfect match."

Snoop Dogg and Stewart first met during an episode of Stewart's show Martha in 2008. The pair reconnected at Comedy Central's Roast of Justin Bieber in 2016.

"When we did his roast, she happened to sit right next to me. She got a secondhand smoke contact. And from that contact we started connecting and connecting and we started talking and chopping it up. Before you knew it, we was on screen together," Snoop Dogg recalled.

The "Gin & Juice" rapper denied Stewart shares his love for marijuana.

"She enjoys gardening and all of that vegetation. But I do it the other way, you know what I'm saying?" he said.

Snoop Dogg speaks to Stewart about once a week and stays with the lifestyle guru when he's in her area.

"When I go that way, I like to stay at her house. Her house is so big, her horse's house is bigger than my house," he said.

Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party premiered its third season on VH1 in April. Snoop Dogg and Stewart discussed their chemistry in an interview with Today prior to the premiere.

"What an odd couple we are," Stewart said. "I like his laid-back energy. I like his outspokenness. I like his sense of timing. And I like to watch him cook."

"[She's] like the big sister I never had," Snoop Dogg added. "Being able to correct me, to teach me, to show me how to be better, to give me something to aspire to be. We need that in life and this is what I didn't have."

Which musician insists he dated Natalie Portman?

Moby insists he once dated actress Natalie Portman.

The 53-year-old singer responded in an Instagram post Wednesday after Portman, 37, denied they dated and said Moby was "creepy" with her when she was a teen.

"I recently read a gossip piece wherein Natalie Portman said that we'd never dated. This confused me, as we did, in fact, date. And after briefly dating in 1999 we remained friends for years," Moby wrote.

"I like Natalie, and I respect her intelligence and activism. But, to be honest, I can't figure out why she would actively misrepresent the truth about our (albeit brief) involvement," he said.

Moby claimed he dated Portman in his book, Then It Fell Apart, saying the fling happened when he was 33 and Portman was 20. He stood by his claims in the post.

"The story as laid out in my book Then It Fell Apart is accurate, with lots of corroborating photo evidence, etc.," the star wrote.

"Ps I completely respect Natalie's possible regret in dating me (to be fair, I would probably regret dating me, too), but it doesn't alter the actual facts of our brief romantic history," he added.

Portman shared her side of the story in an interview with Harper's Bazaar U.K. published Tuesday. She told the magazine she was barely 18 when she met Moby.

"I was surprised to hear that he characterized the very short time that I knew him as dating because my recollection is a much older man being creepy with me when I just had graduated high school," the actress said.

"He said I was 20; I definitely wasn't. I was a teenager. I had just turned 18," she added. "I was a fan and went to one of his shows when I had just graduated ... He was on tour and I was working, shooting a film, so we only hung out a handful of times before I realized that this was an older man who was interested me in a way that felt inappropriate."
