Greetings Laff Lovers,

You may not know it, because I don't talk about it that often, but ol' TZ is something of a grilling aficionado. Part of the reason is that I can't stand being indoors on a beautiful, sunny, summer afternoon, I just love the hot weather too much, and what better summer activity that grilling out?

Plus, I like playing with fire.

Usually, I am a steak, burger or chicken kind of griller, but every now and then I like to mix it up, like with my killer beer bratwurst recipe.

It's as easy as pie. First; you cut up a nice, large onion. I like sweet vidalias, but I have also used white onions. Then you pour 3 or 4 beers in a big skillet, add a couple generous tablespoons of butter and the onion and bring to a simmer.

If you want to do all of this prep outside so you don't have run in and out of the house all afternoon and miss out on all of the beautiful weather, you can get a nice, big Electric Skillet with a Tempered Glass Lid. Set this up on a folding table and plug it right into the garage.

Once the beer and onions start to simmer add your brats. I like all beef brats, but you can use whatever you like. Let them simmering for 10 or 12 or 15 minutes (if they're completely raw you'll need to simmer them a little longer) while you get your grill ready.

Once your brats have been in the beer long enough transfer them straight from your skillet to the grill. Since they are already partially cooked from the simmer all you need to do is brown them up a bit and give 'em those beautiful grill marks.

The best part is you can use the onions you have been simmering your brats in as a delicious garnish. And don't feel like you have to be limited to onions, either. You can add shallots, bell peppers, poblanos, whatever you like.

If you don't have an electric skillet like this you should really invest in one.

They are so versatile you can make just about anything in it, from pancakes to a savory stir fry. And with electric control you can even set it at 'low' and use it as a warming dish for your next cocktail party.

We have them in stock now, but they are in limited supply. So please don't wait or you'll regret it!

Culinarily,

TZ

McDonald's Dogged Over Breastfeeding Law Suit

Breastfeeding is a natural, beautiful thing. It used to be frowned upon in certain public places, but these days there is virtually nowhere where a woman is not welcomed to engage in this wholesome, nurturing activity. So it was a bit of a surprise when a woman in Newark, NJ was asked by a manager to leave a McDonald's for breastfeeding. Of course, she is suing the establishment for violating her rights, but the manager claims it's not the fact that she was breastfeeding, but WHAT she was breastfeeding.

I was in a pub last Saturday night, and after drinking a few I noticed two very robust-looking women at the bar. They both had pretty strong accents, so I asked, "Hey, are you two ladies from Ireland?"

One of them snapped back, saying, "It's Wales, you idiot!"

I immediately apologized. "I'm sorry," I said, "are you two whales from Ireland?"

GadgetsA man wakes up in the hospital bandaged from head to foot.

The doctor comes in and says, "Ah, I see you've regained consciousness. Now you probably won't remember, but you were in a huge pile-up on the freeway. You're going to be okay, however, your penis was severed in the accident and we couldn't find it."

The man groans, but the doctor goes on, "You have $9,000 in insurance compensation coming and we now have the technology to build you a new penis. They work great but they don't come cheap. It's roughly $1,000 an inch."

The man perks up.

"So," the doctor says, "You must decide how many inches you want. But I understand that you have been married for over twenty years and this is something you should discuss with your wife. If you had a five incher before and get a nine incher now she might be a bit put out. If you had a nine incher before and you decide to only invest in a five incher now, she might be disappointed. It's important that she plays a role in helping you make a decision."

The man agrees to talk it over with his wife.

The doctor comes back the next day, "So, have you spoken with your wife?"

"Yes I have," says the man.

"And has she helped you make a decision?"

"Yes," says the man.

"So what is it going to be?" asks the doctor.

The man says, "We're getting new granite counter tops."
