Matthew 5:30

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Kitchen 2019Today's scripture seems to be saying the same thing as yesterday's scripture, which was Matthew 5:29, "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell." This idea must be very important, that Jesus gave us tow examples! I, too, will repeat my exhortation to you of yesterday! If there is something that causes you to stumble, be it person, place or thing, get it out of your life completely! Avoid it completely! Have nothing to do with it!

God Bless You!

TODAY'S NOT SO TRIVIAL TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. In Song Of Solomon 2:2, the Beloved says that is love among the daughters is like a lily among what?

Answer below.

FEATURED FACTS:

In 1923,

1. The president of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died a pauper.

2. The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went insane.

3. The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from prison to die at home

4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad, penniless.

5. The president of the Bank of International Settlement, shot himself.

6. The Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore, also committed suicide.

However, in that same year, 1923, the PGA Champion and the winner of the most important golf tournament, the US Open, was Gene Sarazen.

So, what became of him?

He played golf until he was 92, and died in 1999 at the ripe old age of 95! He was *very* financially secure at the time of his death.

TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

The moral to the above fact sheet

Quit work and play golf.

Note: This is for a bit of fun. I do not believe that this is what the Lord would ask of us. Remember Paul's words in 2 Thessolonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat."
