'Sesame Street' film with Anne Hathaway gets January 2021 release date

Closeout EventWarner Bros. and MGM's upcoming live-action Sesame Street film starring Anne Hathaway is set to arrive in theaters on Jan. 15, 2021.

Sesame Street, which will begin production in June, is a musical that will be directed by Portlandia co-creator Jonathan Krisel.

Hathaway will be appearing alongside classic Sesame Street characters such as Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster and more. Chris Galletta penned the screenplay with Shawn Levy and Michael Aguilar producing.

Two previous Sesame Street films were released theatrically including 1985's Follow That Bird and 1999's The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.

Sesame Street is celebrating its 50th anniversary on television in 2019 with studio Sesame Workshop planning on releasing new social impact initiatives, digital campaigns and community events in honor of the milestone.

Warner Bros. also announced that its Tom and Jerry film will be hitting theaters on April 16, 2021.

Tom and Jerry, from director Tim Story, will be a hybrid of live-action and animation. Tom and Jerry: The Movie was previously released in 1992.

Hathaway is also set to star in filmmaker Robert Zemeckis' upcoming adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel The Witches.

Howard Stern to release new book 'Howard Stern Comes Again'

Howard Stern will release a new book in May.

The 65-year-old radio personality shared details about Howard Stern Comes Again, his first new book in 20 years, during Tuesday's episode of The Howard Stern Show.

"For the last two years of my life, I've been involved in a project that has taken up almost every weekend, every vacation that we've been on," he told co-host Robin Quivers. "This is something I thought I would never do again, but I, yes, Howard Stern has written a new book."

Stern unveiled the title and cover for Howard Stern Comes Again on the show. The book comes out May 14 and will explore Stern's personal evolution and his favorite interviews.

"This is about my evolution and this is about my interviews," Stern said. "I started talking about the process and I started talking about my life and some of the things that have happened."

Stern previously published the books Private Parts (1993) and Miss America (1995), which both topped the New York Times Best Seller list. He intends Howard Stern Comes Again to be his last book.

Stern also promoted the book in an Instagram post Tuesday.

"For months Howard has been teasing a secret project and today he revealed the big news -- #HowardSternComesAgain, his first book in more than 20 years, is due out May 14, 2019!" the post reads.

Stern has hosted The Howard Stern Show since 1986. He also served as a judge on the NBC reality competition America's Got Talent in Seasons 7 through 10.

Who was named the next 'Bachelorette'?

'Game of Thrones' star Kit Harington to host 'SNL'

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will host Saturday Night Live for the first time.

The NBC sketch comedy series announced in a tweet Wednesday the 32-year-old British actor will host its April 6 episode.

The new episode will feature a performance from singer Sara Bareilles. Harington is the second Game of Thrones actor to host SNL, following Peter Dinklage's appearance on the show in 2016.

"*casually leaves this here*," SNL captioned a photo of the schedule.

Killing Eve star Sandra Oh will host the March 30 episode, with actress Emma Stone to host April 13. Stone's episode will feature a performance from K-pop group BTS in its SNL debut.

Harington's episode airs just over a week before Game of Thrones returns to HBO for its eighth and final season. The actor, who plays Jon Snow, said on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week he cried after reading the show's finale.

"I was very shocked and surprised at certain events unfolding. And then I blubbed my eyes out. I cried," he said.

Game of Thrones released a first trailer featuring Jon, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) this month. Clarke recently told Harper's Bazaar Dany meeting Sansa in Season 8 felt "exhilarating."

Harry Styles, Brian May to present at Rock Hall of Fame inductions

One Direction member Harry Styles and Queen guitarist Brian May will present at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony this month.

The 25-year-old singer and 71-year-old musician were among the stars the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.

Trent Reznor, Janelle Monae, David Byrne, Susanna Hoffs, Simon Le Bon and John Taylor will also present at the ceremony March 29 in New York. The event will air April 27 on HBO.

"Rock's biggest night just got more exciting - and you can watch the unforgettable moments & performances on @HBO Saturday April 27 8pm ET #RockHall2019," the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tweeted.

Rolling Stone said Styles will present for Stevie Nicks, May for Def Leppard, Reznor for the Cure, Monae for Janet Jackson, Byrne for Radiohead, Hoffs for the Zombies and Le Bon and Taylor for Roxy Music.

Nicks, Def Leppard, the Zombies and Roxy Music are expected to perform, although official details have to be announced. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke previously told Variety he won't be attending the ceremony.

Who was named the next 'Bachelorette'?

Hannah Brown was named the next Bachelorette during the Season 23 finale of ABC's The Bachelor.

Brown, also known as Hannah B., is a 24-year-old interior designer from Tuscaloosa, Ala., who was named Miss Alabama USA in 2018.

Brown competed on Season 23 of The Bachelor which ended with Colton Underwood entering into a relationship with Cassie Randolph.

Brown was introduced to five of the men who will be competing for her heart on Season 15 of The Bachelorette on Tuesday during The Bachelor finale. She met with Luke, Dustin, Connor, Cam and Luke who each tried their best to impress the beauty pageant queen.

Brown then handed out a rose to Cam who landed the best first impression after he delivered a freestyle rap.

The Bachelorette previously featured Becca Kufrin who chose Garrett Yrigoyen during the Season 14 finale in August.
