We've all heard it before. You are what you eat. That saying is true on so many levels!

The food you eat does reflect your appearance, so watch what you eat everyday! Today, I have a list of the ten foods for healthy hair and nails. Each of the following foods listed below have a healthy effect on your body.

And I'm sure there are many other foods out there that can have similar results as well. Be sure to do your research on the things that you like to eat, see what they contain, and how they can help, or harm, your body. You may be surprised!

10 Foods for Healthy Hair and Nails

Whey Protein

Milk, as we all know, has Vitamin D and Calcium. Both help avoid hair loss!

Eggs are loaded with protein, vitamin D, and Biotin. Biotin is important in creating Keratin. Low levels of Biotin create weak hair and nails.

Salmon consists of biotin as well as protein and Omega-3 fatty acids. Salmon promotes a healthier scalp, which is really important for having healthy hair. The Omega-3s in Salmon is really important for nail growth as well!

Brazil nuts boosts your hair and nails. By eating 6-8 of these nuts every day, it is a simple way to help your hair and nails stay healthy.

Almonds are loaded with protein and magnesium, which promotes healthy hair and stronger nails. Magnesium is also and anti-stress mineral which helps to keep from losing your hair.
