Subscibe to DEAL OF THE DAY

February 10, 2019

Hi All!

Can you just feel the romance in the air building up for Valentine's Day? How's this for an idea? Lay Hersheys kisses all over the floor and leave a note for your honey saying "I kiss the ground you walk on" (unless you have pets that is you don't want
them vacuuming up wrappers and all ;o) I'm sure you can get creative with your own ideas but I'll stick to the food stuff and some sweet concoctions for your dear ones.

Back by popular demand it's about that time for BETTER THAN --- CAKE. You fill in the blanks, I make no claims...hut it is loaded with chocolate, caramel topping, candy bars and whipped topping so you be the judge. This should serve 12 but is usually devoured by just a few pretty quick. I haven't met a person yet that doesn't love this recipe and it's definitely a conversation piece.

1 German chocolate or other chocolate cake, baked, 13x9x2-inch
3/4 cup fudge topping
3/4 cup caramel or butterscotch topping
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
6 chocolate covered toffee bars
1 tub of whipped topping or 1 envelope Dream Whip, prepared with milk

Do not remove cake from pan. After the cake has cooled, make holes in the entire top of the cake using a large fork or the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour (one at a time) fudge, butterscotch, and condensed milk over the top of the cake and
let each flavor soak in before adding the next. Crush 3 of the candy bars and sprinkle on the top. Frost the cake with the whipped topping and crush the 3 remaining toffee bars to decorate the top.
