Did you know that ginger is one of the healthiest spices on the planet? Ginger is loaded with nutrients and other compounds that have very powerful benefits for your body and brain.
Personally, ginger is something that has grown on me throughout the last couple of years. The more I have it the more I love it. But now that I know what kind of health benefits it offers, it is something that I try to incorporate into my lifestyle more often.

Ginger actually has a very long history of use in various forms of traditional/alternative medicine. I tend to use it to help digestion or reduce nausea. But it can also help fight the flu and common cold, to name a few a few other uses.
As a very common ingredient in recipes, you can use ginger fresh, dried, powdered or as an oil or juice. Sometimes you can even find it in cosmetics. If it's used so often, then it wouldn't be unusual to wonder why.

Ginger is an anti-inflammatory so it helps reduce swelling. That may be especially helpful for treating symptoms of both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Relief from pain and swelling may be felt from either by taking ginger by mouth or by using a ginger compress or patch on your skin.

Ginger is loaded with antioxidants, compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body’s DNA. They may help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diseases of the lungs, plus promote healthy aging.
