Hi All! Ready for game time?
A Pack of Hawaiian Rolls Makes for the best-ever baked sliders!
So Rachael has converted the entire office here through our potlucks to slider maniacs with these so buttery and flavorful little hot sammies and they actually could not be more simple to make (and even prep-ahead) for a crowd pleaser. There are so many different recipes variations flying around using different meats, cheese and spice combos but this one is just that something special and different that hits the spot.... BAKED ROAST BEEF SLIDERS on rich buttery Hawaiian rolls. I've made several times and never do less than a double-down recipe since the kiddos love the leftovers even cold ;o)
You basically slice the entire pack of rolls in half horizontally
like one giant bun and after layering the ingredients on the bottom half you sandwich the top layer of rolls over top and pour over the buttery topping mixture. Pop into the oven and bake until toasty and the cheese is melted.
There are so few ingredients and you can splurge and purchase fresh sliced deli meat on the rare side, or just stick with prepackaged sliced beef it works either way. The onions really add a nice flavor and crunch and are optional if you're not a fan. If you can't find Hawaiian rolls any buttery slider or dinner rolls will do.
You can prep all the ingredients beforehand except the butter mixture and just assemble the day of before baking! The dip really makes it too but can e omitted and just as tasty.
How about a nice bonus recipe for this party weekend that is also so simple? Look below for a QUESO BLANCO Mexican white queso you serve with tortila chips or even sliced veggies... Yum!
Enjoy!

BEEF FRENCH DIP SLIDERS ON HAWAIIAN ROLLS
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 rolls total)
1 pound deli sliced roast beef
12 slices provolone cheese, separated, 1 package
1 1/2 cups French fried onions, optional
Seasoning
8 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 packet Au Jus seasoning mix, separated
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
3/4 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish with the softened unsalted butter. Without separating the rolls, slice the package of rolls in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Top with the 6 slices of the provolone cheese, roast beef, french fried onions, remaining 6 slices of cheese, and the other half of the rolls. In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Mix in 1 tablespoon of the au jus seasoning mix, Worcestershire sauce, sesame seeds, dried minced garlic, onion powder and whisk until well combined. Top the rolls evenly with this mixture (you don't need to use all of it, we usually use about 3/4ths) but just make sure all the rolls are entirely coated. If you have leftover put it in the fridge to top steak or bread at another time.
Bake the sliders uncovered until the cheese is gooey and the tops of the rolls are golden brown -- about 15-20 minutes. Remove and cut the sliders with a very sharp knife. While the sliders are baking, take the remaining au jus mixture and place in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add 2 cups cold water and whisk. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer to allow it to slightly thicken. Serve with the sandwiches.

BONUS PARTY DIP RECIPE: QUESO BLANCO (White QUeso)
It's smooth, creamy, a little bit spicy and totally addicting
to scoop up with a big pile of tortilla chips! You just need
3 ingredients: block of white American cheese from the deli,
green salsa and half and half. That's it! The cheese gets cut
into chunks and is melted with the salsa and half and half
to make this hot dip.
CROCK OF QUESO BLANCO PARTY DIP (White Queso)
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound white American cheese cubed (ask for 1 pound unsliced)
1 cup half and half
1/4 cup mild salsa verde (go hotter if you like)
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
* Tortilla chips, for serving
DIRECTIONS:
Place the American cheese, salsa verde and half and half in
a pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until
melted and smooth. Stir in cilantro and serve immediately.
Reheat in microwave or keep warm in a slow cooker.
