I'd like to welcome all of the Living Green subscribers that have recently merged into Handy Hints. I hope you enjoy this newsletter just as much as the existing subscribers do.
Handy Hints features a wide range of hints, everything from money saving hints to laundry tips. To accommodate all the Living Green subscribers I'm going to add an additional hint at the end of each issue and it will be an eco-friendly hint.
I hope you enjoy your first issue, newbies!

The Better Way to Make Brownies (and other goodies!)
Hint 1: Am I new? How have I never thought of trying this...
Slicing meat to grind or cook in a stir-fry can be tricky even with the sharpest knife.
To make it easier, place the meat in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes to stiffen it up. Slicing and dicing the meat is a breeze!
Say 'goodbye' to heavy lifting around your house with the Mega Mover
Hint 2: Cold winter days, and frozen car locks
Frozen locks? Squirt a little hand sanitizer on them. The isopropyl alcohol that kills germs also lowers the freezing point of water, and can melt the ice inside the lock within seconds.
'Go Green' Hint:
If you can’t live without your dishwasher, then at least cut the pre-rinse. With a decent detergent, your dishes will be just as clean and you can save an average of twenty gallons of water per load.
