Emma Stone on turning 30: 'I'm still finding my voice'

Emma Stone says she's "still finding" her voice as she begins her 30s.

The Oscar-winning actress discussed her 30th birthday and her 14-month hiatus from acting in the February issue of British Vogue.

Stone turned 30 years old Nov. 6. The milestone birthday initially made her feel "gloomy" before she embraced the "bittersweet" experience.

"I got gloomy for about a week," she shared. "But realized the most interesting part about becoming an adult is most things become bittersweet. I'm still finding my voice."

The La La Land star shared her life lessons thus far in the interview.

"It's OK if not everybody likes you. So that was a major lesson, not falling over myself to win over the unwinnable," Stone said.

"Nobody knows what they're doing!" she added. "We're all just a bunch of people trying to figure out how to get through the day."

Stone was 28 when she won an Academy Award for Best Actress for La La Land in 2017 and was named Forbes' highest-paid actress the same year. She took a step back from the spotlight to recalibrate in 2018.

"I haven't worked since last December -- by the time I work again, it will have been 14 months," the star said. "I didn't learn a language, I didn't learn to cook, I've been a little... drifty."

Stone returns in the new film The Favourite, which opened in theaters in November. She told The Hollywood Reporter in September she's "still learning" her craft, such as channeling her anger into a role.

"Since [Birdman] I have found joy and challenge in such a new way. All I ever want to do now is reach that breaking point, because the other side of it is so incredible," the actress said.

Penny Marshall died from heart failure says death certificate

Laverne & Shirley star and filmmaker Penny Marshall died from heart failure resulting from cardiovascular disease and diabetes, states a death certificate which was issued on Monday.

The death certificate was released by the Los Angeles Country Coroner's Office and obtained by TMZ. Marshall died at the age of 75 on Dec. 17 at her home in Hollywood Hills.

Us Weekly confirmed Marshall's cause of death through the death certificate. Marshall's body was cremated with her remains going to her sister Ronny Hallin.

Marshall rose to fame in the 1970s with her role as Laverne DeFazio on Happy Days. She reprised the role on Happy Days spinoff Laverne & Shirley which ran for eight seasons until 1983.

The actress then turned to directing, helming films such as Jumpin' Jack Flash starring Whoopi Goldberg, Big and A League of Their Own with Tom Hanks and Awakenings starring Robin Williams and Robert De Niro.

"Penny was a girl from the Bronx, who came out West, put a cursive 'L' on her sweater and transformed herself into a Hollywood success story," her family said in a statement at the time of her death.

Comcast drops Jennifer Lopez's Fuse channel

Comcast has decided to drop the Fuse network, owned in part by Jennifer Lopez, from its lineup of cable channels.

"We regularly evaluate our channel lineups and sometimes make changes to ensure we're offering customers a wide variety of the content that they want to see at the best value," Comcast said in a statement.

"In this case, much of the content carried by Fuse is similar to content that is also available on other networks. We understand that some customers may find Fuse's programming of interest, and we will work with them to find options that will help them continue to watch other content like this programming," the company continued.

Fuse is known for featuring multicultural programming and featured shows such as T-Pain's School of Business and The Hollywood Puppet Show from executive producer Wilmer Valderrama.

Lopez's NuvoTV channel bought Fuse for $226 million in 2014, merging the companies under the Fuse banner in the process.

"Despite Comcast's publicly-stated commitment to support diverse and independently operated networks, Comcast has elected to drop Fuse, a multicultural-focused television network, on December 31, after more than a decade of carriage," president and CEO of Fuse Media Michael Schwimmer said in a statement.

"This decision is both surprising and troubling considering that Fuse met Comcast's financial demands and no other requirements were ever communicated to us," he continued before highlighting Fuse's commitment to diversity.

Fuse reached 60 million cable households as of February. Comcast has 22 million video subscribers.

'Roseanne' alum Michael Fishman and wife Jennifer Briner divorcing

Roseanne and The Conners actor Michael Fishman and his wife Jennifer Briner filed for divorce this week after 19 years of marriage.

TMZ said Fishman and Briner requested joint physical and legal custody of their 16-year-old daughter. They have another child who is legally an adult.

Briner cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason the marriage was ending, said UsMagazine.com.

The actor told TMZ he and his estranged wife have been in the process of amicably splitting up since June 2017.

Roseanne initially aired 1988-97. Fishman and the original cast returned for a revival this year, but the show was canceled after its star Roseanne Barr made racially charged remarks on Twitter.

A spinoff called The Conners and starring the entire Roseanne ensemble except for Barr is now running on ABC.

Chrissy Teigen is feeling grateful for John Legend on his 40th birthday.

The 33-year-old model and television personality voiced her love for Legend, her husband and "best friend," in an Instagram post Friday.

Teigen shared a slideshow of photos featuring herself, Legend and daughter Luna. She and Legend are parents to 2-year-old Luna and 7-month-old son Miles.

"Happy 40th birthday to the most incredible man," Teigen captioned the post. "The best father, hardest worker, best lover, best friend I could ever imagine. Every day I am grateful for how much you love us and how much you both say it and show it."

"You are one of a kind," she gushed. "I am grateful to your family for creating and raising such a pure, sweet, brilliant man. The world has been blessed by your 40 years on this planet. I love you. I showed you that this morning BOOYAHHHH."

Legend had similar praise for Teigen while honoring the model at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in November.

"I have a career in the music business, but we all know who the star of the family is. She's the heart and soul of the family, too," the singer said of Teigen.

"People love her honesty. Her humor. Her beauty and style. Her passion for food. Her sense of adventure of fun. And they love her big, beautiful heart," he added. "She inspires SO many people and so many women."

Teigen and Legend celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in September. Teigen gave an update on baby Miles in an interview with E! News the next month.

"He loves being told he's handsome," the model said of her son. "He really lights up."

"Miles is so reserved -- he's just John. He's just a cuddly, lovable little ball," she gushed.
