Roseanne Barr to address Israel's parliament in January

Roseanne Barr is scheduled to meet with Israel's parliament on Jan. 30 while she visits the country to learn about Jewish and Israeli history.

Barr made the announcement of her Israel trip on Monday and said she also plans on speaking out against the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, which protests Israel's treatment of Palestinians.

The trip is being organized by celebrity Rabbi Shmuley Boteach's World Values organization.

"While I intend to further my own knowledge of Jewish and Israeli history, I have important work to do as a voice against the insidious and anti-Semitic BDS movement," the comedian and actress said in a statement.

"We are in an age where Israeli innovation is ascendant and changing the world in areas of medicine, technology, media and the arts," she continued. "Israel is an oasis of openness, freedom, democracy and tolerance amidst a desert of brutality from an age gone by. I want to shout this from the heights of the Galilee to the halls of the Knesset [Israel's parliament] in Jerusalem, Israel's capital city."

Barr denied rumors on Twitter in November that she had suffered a heart attack.

Barr's revival of Roseanne was canceled by ABC in May after Barr made a comment about former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett. The show was then revamped without Barr and titled The Conners.

Kevin Spacey charged with sexual assault, defends himself in video

Prosecutors announced actor Kevin Spacey is being charged with felony sexual assault around the same time the actor posted a video online appearing to defend himself.

Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said Spacey is due to be arraigned Jan. 7 on a felony charge of indecent assault and battery stemming from an encounter with a then-18-year-old at a Nantucket, Mass., bar in July 2016.

Former Boston WCVB-TV news anchor Heather Unruh released a statement in November 2017 alleging her son was sexually assaulted by Spacey after the actor bought him numerous alcoholic drinks at the Club Car Restaurant in Nantucket.

Around the same time the charges were announced Monday, a video was posted to Kevin Spacey's YouTube account showing the actor, in character as Frank Underwood from House of Cards, appearing to defend the actor.

The video, titled "Let me be Frank," features Spacey wearing a Christmas apron and speaking directly to the camera, as his character was known to do before being written out of the sixth and final season of House of Cards.

Spacey appears to criticize the series' final season while at the same time defend his real-life persona from the allegations against him.

Spacey was fired from the Netflix series amid sexual assault accusations from several men, starting with an allegation from actor Anthony Rapp that the then-26-year-old Spacey drunkenly tried to seduce him while he was a 14-year-old child actor working on Broadway.

Karlie Kloss, Joshua Kushner honeymoon in South Africa

Newlyweds Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner are honeymooning in South Africa.

The 26-year-old model and 33-year-old businessman shared photos from their scenic vacation this week, two months after their surprise wedding.

Kloss posted a picture with Kushner Wednesday on Instagram. The snapshot shows the couple smiling while cuddled up in a vehicle outdoors.

The former Victoria's Secret model captioned the post with a honey pot and moon emoji. She also shared clips on Instagram Stories from what appeared to be a safari.

Kushner, the younger brother of Trump advisor Jared Kushner, had shared a photo of Kloss Tuesday on Christmas Day. The picture shows Kloss wearing a straw hat and looking at the camera.

"South Africa," Kushner wrote, adding giraffe, lion and rhinoceros emojis.

Kloss and Kushner tied the knot Oct. 18 in upstate New York. The couple said their "I dos" with less than 80 guests in attendance and will reportedly host a larger celebration with friends in the spring.

"[It was] intimate and moving," a source told People of the ceremony. "The couple was beaming with happiness."

Kloss and Kushner got engaged in July after six years of dating. Kloss called Kushner her "best friend" and "soulmate" while announcing the news on Instagram, writing, "I can't wait for forever together."
