This time of year there are tons of gatherings with friends and family. Whether it's just a small get together, a cookie exchange, an ornament grab bag, or just to celebrate the season here is a great idea for your next gathering.

Create a cookie decorating bar - how fun, right?

Give your guests a chance to get creative with this easy edible craft!

Set out a plate of sugar cookies, frosting scooped into squeeze bottles (available at any dollar store), and an array of toppings like sprinkles, crushed candy canes, m&ms, or whatever you see fit. All in separate bowls, this will help keep the supplies organized and there won't be frosting all over the table.

This is even a great idea for kid parties :)

Hint 1: Use Toilet Paper Roll Wrapping Paper Sleeve

This hint will save you from wasting wrapping paper each time you bring it out of storage. Rather than sticking a piece of tape along the loose edge, cut an empty toilet paper tube lengthwise and wrap it around a roll of wrapping paper. Cinch it up and secure the sleeve with a piece of tape.

Next time you use the wrapping, you may rip the sleeve when removing it, but your wrapping paper will remain intact.
