Text PushI like the sound of this... Oscar-winning composer John Williams is working on original music themes for the attractions in the new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge sections of Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The announcement was made this weekend by Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run "puts guests behind the controls of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy in one of three unique flight crew roles," the official Star Wars website said.

Meanwhile, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance allows visitors to experience "an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order."

Galaxy's Edge is set to open at California's Disneyland next summer and Florida's Walt Disney World in the fall of 2019.

Williams' iconic music can be heard in the Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Superman and Jaws blockbuster film franchises, as well as the standalone classics, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Schindler's List.

Taylor Swift signs new deal with Republic Records, Universal Music Group

Taylor Swift has inked a new record deal with Republic Records and Universal Music Group, the singer announced on Instagram Monday.

Swift joined Republic and UMG after her deal with Big Machine Records expired.

The pop star explained on Instagram how the new deal will allow her to own all of her master recordings moving forward and that artists will be better compensated for their presence on music streaming service Spotify.

"As part of my new contract with Universal Music Group, I asked that any sale of their Spotify shares result in a distribution of money to their artists, non-recoupable," she said as part of a lengthy statement alongside a photo of herself with record executives Sir Lucien Grainge and Monte Lipman.

"They have generously agreed to this, at what they believe will be much better terms than paid out previously by other major labels. I see this as a sign that we are headed towards positive changes for creators - a goal I'm never going to stop trying to help achieve, in whatever ways I can," she continued.

Swift also thanked her fans and teased her next project.

"The best thing I've been lucky enough to receive is the dedication, trust, and loyalty of the fans who have cared about the words and melodies I've written. My biggest goal moving forward is to make you proud. I'm so excited. I can't wait to show you what I'm making next," she said.

Swift made headlines in October when she broke the record for most American Music Award wins by a female artist with a lifetime total of 22 wins.

Which actress sang with the Backstreet Boys on 'Ellen'?

Emily Blunt sang with the Backstreet Boys during Monday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The 35-year-old actress performed "I Want It That Way" with the boy band after the Backstreet Boys made a surprise appearance on the show.

Blunt, who stars in the Mary Poppins sequel Mary Poppins Returns, told host Ellen DeGeneres she has a fear of singing in public.

"I think it's still not a natural thing for me. I find it very nerve-wracking to sing in front of people," she explained.

Blunt overcame her anxiety to sing with Backstreet Boys members Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell.

Blunt will sing in Mary Poppins Returns, which opens in theaters Dec. 19. She told DeGeneres she was "completely shocked and slightly terrified" when director Rob Marshall approached her about the title role.

"It's such an iconic character. You realize how much she's made such an imprint on people, and the first movie is so beloved," the star explained.

Mary Poppins Returns is set 30 years after the original 1964 film, which starred Julie Andrews in the title role. The new movie features original star Dick Van Dyke and co-stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer.
