Here's the Scoop...

turkeyclearance'The Grinch' made a lot of green this weekend!

Dr. Seuss' The Grinch -- with Benedict Cumberbatch voicing the part of the green grump in the animated adventure -- is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $66 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Bohemian Rhapsody with $30.9 million, followed by Overlord at No. 3 with $10.1 million, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms at No. 4 with $9.6 million and The Girl in the Spider's Web: A New Dragon Tattoo Story at No. 5 with $8.015 million.

Rounding out the top tier are A Star is Born at No. 6 with $8.010 million, Nobody's Fool at No. 7 with $6.5 million, Venom at No. 8 with $4.9 million, Halloween at No. 9 with $3.8 million and The Hate U Give at No. 10 with $2 million.

I think I might check out that Overlord movie. It looks right up my alley. If I could only get out of the house and down to the theater.

Be Well,
Steve

Reports: Joe Perry taken to hospital after Billy Joel concert

Joe Perry was transported to a New York hospital Saturday night after performing "Walk This Way" as a guest at Billy Joel's Madison Square Garden concert.

Perry, 68, collapsed in his dressing room after he left the stage, TMZ reported.

Paramedics called to the scene put a tube down the Aerosmith rocker's throat to clear his air path, gave him oxygen and took him to a hospital.

The New York Daily News said Perry's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment and his condition remains unknown.

Neither Perry's nor Joel's Twitter feeds have mentioned the reported health crisis.

Perry's most recent post was a photo of him and Joel.

'Bachelor' mansion, 'Westworld' set burn as celebrities flee wildfires

California's Woolsey wildfire is tearing through the Agoura Hills mansion where the reality romance shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were filmed.

The Hollywood Reporter also said Friday that a building on the estate used as the series' production headquarters was destroyed.

Paramount Ranch's Western Town in Aurora Hills -- which stood in for 19th century main streets in numerous films and TV shows -- was also consumed by flames, The Wrap reported.

"We are sorry to share the news that the #WoolseyFire has burned Western Town at #ParamountRanch in Agoura. We do not have any details or photos, but it is our understanding that the structures have burned. This area is an active part of the incident and we cannot access it," the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area tweeted Friday.

CBS News footage later showed it had been burned to the ground.

Among the projects filmed there were Westworld, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, American Sniper, Caught in the Draft, The Lake House, The Mentalist, Weeds, Quickdraw, Norbit, The Love Bug and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Actor Charlie Sheen tweeted Friday that he was concerned for his parents -- screen icon Martin Sheen and his wife Janet -- because they live in the path of the fire in Malibu and he couldn't get in contact with them, The Mercury News said.

"They are in the group, at the staging ground near Zuma Beach," the younger Sheen wrote in his post. "If anyone has eyes on them, please let me know that they are safe and sound in the middle of this horrific scenario."

Martin Sheen told a Fox 11 Los Angeles reporter at the beach late Friday, "We're just fine."

He explained that he and his wife evacuated the area that morning and expected to sleep in their car for the night.

"We haven't lost any lives, so we have that to be grateful for," Sheen said, describing the blazes as "the worst ones I've seen."

Actress and MeToo activist Alyssa Milano took to Twitter Friday to plead for help for rescuing her five horses.

She later posted the update: "Horses are finally safe. My children are safe. My home is in jeopardy but... everything with a heartbeat is safe. Thank you all for your concern.

To those who insisted on still being hurtful because our political affiliation is different, you are what is wrong with the country."

Actor James Woods, who was on the East Coast Thursday and Friday, re-tweeted dozens of posts trying to help people who were affected by the fires re-connect with their loved ones, find safe spaces for their families and animals, and ask for supplies.

"To all my wonderful followers, I want to thank you for your extraordinary efforts tonight connecting people with lost loved ones in the terrible #CampFire. Your thousands of retweets of invaluable information literally saved lives. God bless you all. #CampFire #CampFireJamesWoods," the actor wrote Thursday.

E! News said Lady Gaga, Rainn Wilson, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian were among the celebrities who safely evacuated this week.

Khloe Kardashian shared on social media Friday that she and her infant daughter True had left their house and gone to her brother Rob's home.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Iggy Azalea, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, Rihanna, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, Drake, Scott Disick, Travis Barker, Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears all have property in the affected region, as well.

Dan Crenshaw appears on 'SNL' for Pete Davidson apology

Pete Davidson apologized on this weekend's edition of Saturday Night Live for mocking Dan Crenshaw, a Navy veteran who wears an eyepatch to conceal a war injury.

Davidson said on last week's show that the Republican candidate for Congress looked like a "hitman in a porno movie." He then dismissively added with a shrug: "I'm sorry. I know he lost his eye in war -- or whatever."

The remark was met with criticism on social media and television opinion shows, however the former Navy SEAL repeatedly said he didn't like the comment, but wouldn't demand an apology or ask that any action be taken against Davidson at his job.

"In what I'm sure is a shock to people who know me, I made a poor choice last week," Davidson said during Saturday's "Weekend Update" segment as the audience laughed.

"Nah, I did. I made a joke about Lt. Com. Dan Crenshaw and, on behalf of the show, and myself, I apologize. My poor mom. Can you imagine being my mom? That must suck. ... It can't be easy when everyone's mad at your son and roommate. No, but I mean this from the bottom of my heart, it was a poor choice of words. The man is a war hero and he deserves all the respect in the world."

Davidson then said he thinks his joke might have done some good since it united Democrats and Republicans to agree on something, "That I'm a dick."

"You think?" Crenshaw said as he slid next to Davidson at the "Weekend Update" desk.

His appearance was met with cheers from the crowd.

"Thank you so much for coming," Davidson said.

"Thanks for making a Republican look good," Crenshaw replied.

"You've got to stop saying that," laughed Davidson, who is a vocal Democrat with a Hillary Clinton tattoo on his leg.

He then went on to explain Crenshaw wears the eyepatch because he lost his eye in an IED explosion in Afghanistan during his third combat tour.

"And I'm sorry," Davidson said.

"Thank you, Pete. I appreciate you saying that," Crenshaw said.

"So, we're good?" Davidson asked.

"We're good. Apology accepted," Crenshaw replied, just as his phone rang with an Ariana Grande ringtone, prompting Davidson to chuckle.

Davidson and Grande last month broke off their engagement after a whirlwind romance.

Crenshaw was then urged to make fun of a photo of Davidson in retaliation, which he gamely did, but the segment ended on a serious note with Crenshaw urging Americans to focus on what unites, not divides them.

He also paid tribute to all of the men and women who have served in the armed forces, as well as the heroes who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, "like Pete's father," a firefighter who lost his life rescuing people.

The Republican was elected as member of the U.S. House serving southeastern Texas on Tuesday.

Upton announced her pregnancy in July.

Upton, 26, married Houston Astros right-hander Justin Verlander, 35, in November 2017 in Italy.
