'Walking Dead' TV movies are in the works (Spoiler alert!)

AMC said Sunday that it planning a series of TV movies, which will be part of The Walking Dead universe.

The announcement came moments after Andrew Lincoln's, widely publicized, last appearance as Rick Grimes on the zombie-apocalypse show.

The gravely wounded Grimes was last seen being rescued by Jadis, played by Polly McIntosh, and a mysterious helicopter crew.

Where they were going and who was transporting them was not revealed by the end of Episode 5, Season 9. A time jump of several years was, however, suggested in the show's final moments.

The cable network said the TV movies it is planning will star Lincoln as Grimes and be written by Scott M. Gimple.

"It's not the beginning of the end, it's the end of the beginning," Lincoln said in a statement.

He added: "And I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista. And I've always been interested in what's going on out there, you know, whether or not there is contact with the wider world. I want to know the meta of it all. And I suppose to be able to kind of touch upon that in a contained story for me is a very exciting proposition ... Maybe it's the start of a bigger story."

Production on the first film is to begin next year.

"We have a lot on the horizon -- starting with a new epic featuring one of the greatest leading actors in television history and one of the best people I've ever met," said Gimple. "We're starting with the first part of the continuing story of Rick Grimes, and there is much more on the way, featuring yet-unseen worlds of The Walking Dead and faces from the show's past, as well as new characters we hope to become favorites."

The Spice Girls announced on Twitter Monday that they are embarking on a 2019 reunion tour throughout the U.K. without original member Victoria Beckham.

Melanie C (Sporty), Emma Bunton (Baby), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Mel B (Scary) made the announcement through a video of the group hosting a news program.

Beckham (Posh), released a statement regarding the tour and wished her bandmates well.

"Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour, I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!" Beckham said.

The tour begins on June 1 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester before wrapping up on June 15 at Wembley Stadium in London. The Spice Girls will also be performing at the Ricoh Stadium in Coventry, the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh and at the Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol.

Tickets go on sale for the general public on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. local time.

All members of the Spice Girls reunited in February on Beckham's Instagram. The reunion led to rumors about a tour that Beckham denied until Mel B confirmed in June that the Spice Girls would be performing again.

'SNL' mocks recurring guest star Alec Baldwin after arrest

Saturday Night Live made fun of recurring guest star Alec Baldwin a day after his arrest for allegedly assaulting a man during a dispute over a parking spot.

The jab came during a parody of coverage of the Central American migrant caravan heading for the U.S. border on the Fox News program, The Ingraham Angle, featuring Kate McKinnon as host Laura Ingraham.

The report -- which also featured analysis by Cecily Strong as Jeanine Pirro and Kenan Thompson as David Clarke -- ended with Ingraham stating, "When we come back, an update from disgraced, former actor Alec Baldwin, seen here molesting a young Boy Scout."

A photo of Baldwin in an old SNL sketch with Adam Sandler then flashed on the screen. Baldwin and Sandler are both wearing scout hats and lying in sleep bags at a campsite.

The sketch has already gotten nearly 500,000 views on YouTube.

Baldwin frequently plays U.S. President Donald Trump on SNL. He did not appear in this weekend's edition.

He has denied via Twitter allegations that he punched a man on a New York street Friday morning, but police confirmed he was arrested and is expected to face an assault charge.

Patton Oswalt marks year of marriage to Meredith Salenger

Comedian Patton Oswalt posted a wedding photo on Twitter to mark the first anniversary of his wedding to actress Meredith Salenger.

"One year ago today I married @MeredthSalenger, who stepped into this lost widower's life, and swept him and his daughter up out of the cobwebs and into the sunlight. I will never be able to repay you, baby, but I'll never stop trying," Oswalt captioned the image of him and his bride smiling and dancing.

Oswalt married Salenger 18 months after his wife Michelle McNamara -- a writer and the mother of his 9-year-old daughter, Alice -- had died. An undiagnosed heart condition and complications from prescribed medicine were to blame for her 2016 death.

"It feels like an evolution," Oswalt said as he announced his marriage to Salenger last year. "After the darkness, I went through all the ways I had to strengthen myself to try to recognize joy again. Meredith was a beacon I had to reach for."
