Alexander Skarsgard has been cast in Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's upcoming monster movie crossover Godzilla vs. Kong.

Skarsgard is expected to portray the leader of a military unit in the film as Godzilla and King Kong face off, Variety reported.

The actor joins a cast that includes Julian Dennison, Brian Tyree Henry and Demian Bichir.

Adam Wingard is directing the project, the fourth entry in Warner Bros. and Legendary's

monster universe that consists of 2014's Godzilla, 2017's Kong: Skull Island and upcoming sequel Godzilla: King of the Monsters, set to arrive in theaters on May 31, 2019.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters star Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things fame will also appear in Godzilla vs. Kong.

'Clueless' remake in development at Paramount

Paramount is developing a remake to popular 1990s romantic comedy Clueless, which starred Alicia Silverstone in the lead role.

Girls Trip writer Tracy Oliver is producing the remake with Glow writer Marquita Robinson handling the script.

The remake is in early development with plot details unknown.

Clueless, released in 1995, was a retelling of Jane Austen's Emma. Silverstone portrayed Cher, the popular girl at school who played matchmaker for her friends and teachers. Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Breckin Meyer, Jeremy Sisto and Brittany Murphy also starred.

Oliver posted on Twitter Thursday about her excitement for the remake.

"Crazy excited to be producing a *new* take on one of my favorite movies of all time, #Clueless, with the hilarious and super talented @MarqRobinson writing it!!! As. If," she said in reference to a famous line from the film.

Silverstone paid homage to Clueless in June while appearing on Lip Sync Battle. The actress donned her character's signature yellow plaid shirt and mini-skirt while performing "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea.

'Mrs. Doubtfire' stars reunite after 25 years

Mrs. Doubtfire stars reunited Wednesday ahead of the beloved film's 25th anniversary.

Pierce Brosnan, who played Stu Dunmire in the 1993 movie, shared a photo with Lisa Jakub, Matthew Lawrence and Mara Wilson, who portrayed Lydia, Chris and Natalie Hillard as kids.

"Guess who? Today, after 25 years, I gathered around a table in the company of three beautiful young people, to talk story about a film that has touched the hearts of so many," he wrote.

Mrs. Doubtfire starred late actor Robin Williams as Daniel Hillard, a recently divorced dad who dresses up as an elderly female nanny to see his children (Jakub, Lawrence, Wilson). Sally Field played Daniel's ex-wife, Miranda Hillard, who starts dating Stu.

"Sally is on tour with her new book. Robin is in heaven making the angels laugh and was spoken of with the fondest of love and sweet memories," Brosnan said. "Can ya guess the movie? The Today Show is airing our interview in early November. Join us for the 25th anniversary of the #MrsDoubtfire."

Brosnan also posted a video of himself, Jakub, Lawrence and Wilson on the Today set.

"#MrsDoubtfire 25th anniversary reunion will be on the #TodayShow in early November. Join us!" he wrote.

Mrs. Doubtfire opened in theaters in November 1993. Brosnan shared a throwback photo in August 2017 of himself and Williams on the movie's set and paid tribute to the actor in the caption.

"I remember this day like it was yesterday," he wrote. "Robin nailed it on the second take. I am so proud to have been part of that movie and to have known the great Robin Williams."

Alan Tudyk to voice Joker in 'Harley Quinn' animated series

Alan Tudyk is set to voice signature Batman villain The Joker in DC Comics' upcoming Harley Quinn animated series that is coming to streaming service DC Universe.

Diedrich Bader, who will be voicing Batman on Harley Quinn, announced Tudyk's role during an interview with Discussing Film.

"I did a session with him a while ago, and he's very funny as Joker," Bader said.

IGN also confirmed Tudyk's casting on Thursday.

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco will voice Harley Quinn, a character who has an on-and-off relationship with The Joker. Wanda Sykes, Lake Bell, Christopher Meloni, Giancarlo Esposito and Jason Alexander will also be providing voices.

A teaser trailer for the series was released during the New York Comic Con featuring Cuoco's Harley Quinn talking with fellow villain Poison Ivy inside Arkham Asylum. The clip suggests the show will feature comedy along with gratuitous violence.

Tudyk will also appear on DC Universe's live-action Doom Patrol series as the villainous Mr. Nobody.

DC Universe, launched in September, includes original programming such as Titans and will expand to include Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn a live-action Swamp Thing series and Season 3 of Young Justice.

Which celebrity tops Forbes list of the highest paid TV actors for 2018?

Jim Parsons topped Forbes' annual list of the highest paid TV actors for 2018 ahead of his Big Bang Theory co-stars.

Parsons takes the No. 1 spot for a fourth year in a row having earned $26.5 million in the year leading up to June 1. Parsons took in $27.5 million in 2017.

The actor's income comes from starring on The Big Bang Theory, endorsement deals and for executive producing spinoff series Young Sheldon.

The Big Bang Theory's cast dominates the rest of the top four with Johnny Galecki in second place with $25 million, while Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar tied each other with $23.5 million. The male leads have each made less money then they did last year, due to taking a pay cut to help boost the pay of their female co-stars.

The series will be coming to an end after 12 seasons.

NCIS star and executive producer Mark Harmon comes in fifth place having earned $19 million, followed by the cast of Modern Family with Ed O'Neill taking home $14 million, Eric Stonestreet earning $13.5 million, Jesse Tyler Ferguson earning $13 million and Ty Burrell earning $12 million.

The Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln is the only new actor to make the list, coming in at tenth place with $11 million. Lincoln is set to exit the zombie drama this season.

The actors collectively earned $181 million, down from 2017's total of $185 million.
