'The Big Bang Theory' to end with Season 12 in 2019
Season 12 of The Big Bang Theory will be the sitcom's last, producers announced Wednesday.

Starring Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, the show is scheduled to wrap in May.

"We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past 12 seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show's success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close," Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions said in a joint statement.

The final season of The Big Bang Theory is slated to debut Sept. 24.


John Lithgow to portray Roger Ailes in Fox News film
John Lithgow has been cast as former chairman and CEO of Fox News Roger Ailes in an upcoming film about the cable network and Ailes being forced to resign following allegations of sexual misconduct.

The untitled film will center on the women who accused Ailes of sexual misconduct and helped take him down, including former Fox news anchor's Megyn Kelly who will be portrayed by Charlize Theron and Gretchen Carlson who will be portrayed by Nicole Kidman.

Lithgow, Theron and Kidman will also be joined by Margot Robbie as a fictional Fox News associate producer.

Ailes exited Fox News in July 2016 following allegations from Carlson and Kelly. He then died in May 2017 at the age of 77. Carlson won a sexual harassment lawsuit against Fox News and Ailes in September 2016 that resulted in a $20 million settlement from the network.

The project is set to be directed by Jay Roach, based on a script by Charles Randolph (The Big Short). Theron is producing along with Roach, Randolph, Margaret Riley, Beth Kono and AJ Dix. No release date has been announced.

Lithgow will next appear in comedy Late Night with Mindy Kaling and an adaptation of Stephen King novel Pet Sematary.

Jon Hamm, Ed Harris join cast of 'Top Gun: Maverick'
Jon Hamm and Ed Harris are the latest actors to join Paramount's upcoming sequel to 1986's Top Gun titled Top Gun: Maverick.

Hamm and Harris' roles in the film, which will feature a returning Tom Cruise as Maverick, remain under wraps.

Hamm and Harris join the cast along with Lewis Pullman, the son of actor Bill Pullman. The still expanding cast of Top: Gun Maverick also includes Miles Teller as the son of original character Goose, Val Kilmer reprising his role as Iceman, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell and Monica Barbaro as a pilot and love interest of Teller.

Charles Parnell, Jay Ellis, Bashir Salahuddin and Danny Ramirez are also in talks for various roles in the film.

Top Gun: Maverick, directed by Joseph Kosinski, is set for release on July 12, 2019. The sequel will follow Maverick in the present day as he deals with the rise of drone technology which is making his style of jet fighter flying obsolete. Cruise's character will also be seen taking Teller under his wing as a new protege.


Report: Ben Affleck enters rehab with Jennifer Garner's help
Ben Affleck is heading back to rehab with the help of ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

People reported the 46-year-old actor entered a treatment facility Wednesday and is seeking help for substance abuse issues.

"He knew he needed help and was vocal about it," a source said.

Garner visited Affleck at home Wednesday and was "visibly upset" as she left the house. She returned with an unidentified woman and was spotted driving the woman and Affleck away in a car.

TMZ said Garner, Affleck and the woman stopped at a Jack in the Box before heading to a rehab facility in Los Angeles County.

Affleck previously sought treatment in 2001 and in December. He was spotted receiving an alcohol delivery outside his home Monday.

Affleck and Garner split in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage. The pair are parents to three children: 12-year-old daughter Violet, 9-year-old daughter Seraphina and 6-year-old son Samuel.

Which Oscar winner has been named Forbes' highest-paid actor for 2018?

George Clooney has been deemed the world's highest paid actor by Forbes for 2018, ahead of other Hollywood stars such as Dwayne Johnson and Robert Downey Jr.

Clooney earned $239 million in pretax earnings from June 2017 to June 2018 due to his lucrative business venture with tequila company Casamigos which was sold to British liquor conglomerate Diageo for $700 million last June. The deal also included the potential to earn an additional $300 million over the next decade.

Clooney walked away with an estimated $233 million from Casamigos with his remaining earnings coming from endorsement deals and older films.

In second place is Johnson with $124 million which the highest amount earned for front-of-camera roles in Forbes history the publication said. The action star earned the large amount from his upfront paychecks on films and from earning a cut of the profits made on projects such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Downey comes in third with $81 million earned from his role as Iron Man in Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War.

Downey's Marvel co-star Chris Hemsworth follows behind in fourth place with $64.5 million for his turn as Thor in Thor: Ragnarok and in Avengers: Infinity War. In fifth place is Jackie Chan, earning $45.5 million as China's biggest movie star.

Rounding out the rest of the Top 10 is Will Smith ($42 million), Bollywood star Akshay Kumar ($40.5 million), Adam Sandler ($39.5 million), Bollywood star Salman Khan ($38.5 million) and Chris Evans ($34 million).

Together, the top ten highest-paid actors earned $748.5 million, compared to the $186 million earned by the top ten highest-paid actresses. Scarlett Johansson recently topped the list of highest-paid actresses with $40.5 million.

Mark Wahlberg was named the highest-paid actor in 2017 with $68 million.
