Hello Video Lovers,

After World War II both the United States and the U.S.S.R. were experimenting with atomic weapons and people were scared. Not so much about the weapons themselves but about what horrifying mutations the radiation from those weapons might cause.

This fear manifested itself in some truly bizarre science fiction movies from that era. Films like 'Them!', 'Tarantula', 'The Crawling Eye', 'Godzilla', and the cult classic, 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman'.

In that film Alison Hayes plays a young woman trapped in a marriage with a cheating husband. When radiation from an alien UFO turns her into a 50-foot-tall monster she decides on some 'hands-on' marriage counseling.

You've got to love the giant rubber hand. Truly terrifying.
